Demarcus Lawrence thread

Didn't really notice him one way or another.

Any ideas how many snaps he played?
 
Rookie's first game. No impact. No unexpected. Hoping he gets better.

But considering he was 2 draft picks ... couldn't he have morphed into another player on some of those plays ???
 
Had an almost sack early on. I thought he was ok. It'll take time. Our offense did the defense no favors.
 
This was his first real NFL game. I think he had a couple of good plays and is as good as any other edge rusher we have. He will get better. I will say the one thing he needs to do is get off the ball faster. I watched several plays just looking at him. He get's off the ball really slow. If he can fix that, I think he could contribute something we lack big time.
 
I saw him get some pressure. That said, he hardly played any snaps. Actually, I only ever recall seeing him in the game on 2nd downs if I remember correctly. Any time they were on a running down and distance. I did not see him in the game.

There were a lot of 1st downs and a lot of 3rd and 2 downs.
 
His official stat line was one solo tackle and one assist. He wasn't awarded with any QB hits; but had some pressure on one of Melton's sacks.
 
I thought the hype was behind him, but Hitchens was the rookie making a real difference.
 
He helped with Melton's sack. I don't think he played much.
 
i actually saw one play where he immediately backed out of his pass rush and gauged the running back to make a tackle.... the awareness kind of surprised me for his first game

never expected much. looking at his college production I feel people were really expecting way to much.
he can be a good player, I would like to hope he will get better
 
Veldaheer is a good player. And for a rookie making his first start against him is hard. I saw him putting pressure on the QB early in the game but looked like he got gased late in the game.

Yeah, he's just not in game shape yet. He should be primed for NY n Philly
