Thanks! I googled it a bit and it looks like you're right. Personally, I don't think they should be testing for anything whilst out of competition. Test them once T/C starts and stop testing after their team has played their last game of the season.

I thought if you were taking a PED in the offseason that the suspension wouldn't count because you're not performing so therefore you can't have a Performance Enhancing Drug.

The other change from the PED policy is that positive tests for MDMA (and other stimulants) in the offseason will fall under substance abuse. In-season tests will continue to fall under the PED policy.

Well, on the bright side:
The Cowboys get 1/4 of his salary added back to the cap.
There two opportunities for individuals to step up, one each for Lawrence and Gregory.
Gregory won't be alone and will have company to watch the first 4 games on TV.
It happened before the draft, so team can tailor draft plan if so desired.
Gregory and Lawrence should be well rested for game 5.
Might just open up the window for Hardy on a cap-friendly deal.

there is growing disappointment and apathy with this franchise in the DFW-metroplex. stars, mavs, rangers are all doing things the right way and the fans are rewarding them for it. people are fed up with the cowboys in this town.
