His Hall of Fame career was built in Dallas. He should go in as a Cowboy. However, he didn’t appreciate being asked to take a pay cut then being released after he refused. Could be some bad blood there.
As has been said already, the players don't go in under a team's flag. As for bad blood, when he retired, he did so as a Cowboy.

He deserves it and so does Harvey Martin. Demarcus Ware was a dominate ROLB in 3/4 Defense. Martin was a more dominating 4/3 RDE with both Super Bowl MVP and Defensive Player of the Year Awards.

Lets see if the Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame Hate is not prevalent anymore with the voters. Both Ware and Martin should be first ballot ROH and HOF. As 5 Ring Haley is in the ROH and his career was mostly in San Francisco, Martin and Ware should go in quick, fast, and in a hurry.

Maybe Harvey can get into ROH first?

That's on Jerry ... and Schramm.

Ware will be remembered as a Dallas Cowboy. The Cowboys drafted him and he spent most of his career in Dallas.

Ware was/is well liked around the league & was never thought of as a dirty player. He just knocked the snot out of anybody trying to get away from him.

I seriously doubt anybody on the committee doesn't think he belongs in the HOF. He'll be inducted on the 1st ballot.

He was well below Ray Lewis and Urlacher or he would’ve been a first ballot Hall of Famer. However he was a terrific player and made a lot of tackles.

More all pros than Urlacher. Same amount of probowls.
400 + more tackles in 2 more games played.

Also the Dolphins defense ranked in the top 10 in total yards allowed eight times in 12 seasons with Thomas. the Chicago defense with Urlacher ranked in the top 10 only three times.

Zach only negative was his size and lack of crazy athletics. But he made up for it by being a Sean Lee who was actually healthy.
He deserves to be in the hall. Mawae and Johnson both mentioned in their HOF speeches he deserves to be in. Jimmy can be explained as a homer, but Kevin M was a Jets player.

Zach wasn't flashy on or off the field but he was a playmaker.

Urlacher had 41.5 sacks to Thomas’s 20.5. Sack totals carry a lot of weight. Urlacher had 5 more INTs. Obviously Urlacher was seen as a much better player to be elected on the first ballot. Thomas deserves to get in we’ll see if this is his year.

I would have asked him to take a pay cut too.

The fans also didn't appreciate one playoff win. Damn your stats.

Zach Thomas AND Jason Taylor should have been Cowboys.

I think it was Dave stupid Campo who convinced Jerry not to draft them.

If they're going to let Thomas in they might as well let in Dat and Dexter coakley while they're at it. Randall Godfrey was also really good too.

They're kind of cheapening the Hall of Fame with some of these players.

He had very little help, he was a diamond amongst trash. When he was putting up 19 and 20 sacks the next closest player had only about 7 sacks. He was accounting for most of our sacks and pressures. After we released him our sack totals decreased the following season. We ended up losing in the playoffs because we couldn’t get to Aaron Rodgers.

Thomas did play as a Cowboy later in his career

Meant in their prime.

Jimmy unearthed these hidden draft gems:

Zach Thomas
Jason Taylor
Patrick Surtain
Sam Madison

Cowboys could and would have reloaded their defense while Troy and Emmitt were still in their primes.

Guaranteed Jimmy drafts Randy Moss over Greg Ellis as well.

And yet we gave up so many third down conversions so I would have appreciated his sacks more had they been on 3rd down. And then also taking over a game once in awhile would have been great. He was not the player he could have been.
