Sanchez has a number of qualities that are a good fit. He's smart, has been under major media scrutiny, and is entering a phase in his career where his path is as a backup. His Mexican American heritage is also a nice fit, particularly since he's done outreach work in many such communities. Good mentor and role model.
In the negative column is the fact that he's a terrible QB.
Mexican American heritage? How does that benefit him?
You do know DFW area is about 25% Hispanic/Latino with Mexican origin being the largest in that group, right? Here's a guy who does work in the community and outreach efforts with that group. I expect he'd be very popular. So long as he never had to play.
Yes, I do know that. You do know that I am Hispanic as well but being Hispanic is not going to make me like a guy who can't play. I am an equal opportunist. I don't care what religion, what nationality, what your political views are, if you can play then I'm good with it. If you can't, I don't give a damn what you may or may not be. You ain't going to be looked upon any more favorably by me regardless. I don't believe in equal opportunity in sports. The best guys are who I want playing and if you can't play, then the rest doesn't matter. They need to be gone.

Blah blah blah.
You know as well as I do that for many people, seeing someone like them is pretty important.
Yeah, but so what? That doesn't help him make a team. The Hispanic % in 31.2% and the Broncos are trying to use him as trade bait right now.
You do realize in these days and times that your view and viewpoint is unheard of. You will have to forgo your politically correct badge
this month. Glad you visit here!!!
And that is relevant how? I noted this as one of his many positive traits. And I clearly noted that he had other limiting factors.
I get it, you don't believe Hispanic heritage is something positive. You've made that point loud and clear.
No, you really don't get it. This has nothing to do with heritage of any kind. This has to do with how good you are.
Yes, you are right. There are no other factors that make a player a good fit. Particularly as a #3 QB. It isn't like we engage in any outreach efforts with those communities or anything.
What? You don't want to see a butt fumble in AT&T Stadium?
