improve so dramatically this offseason.

SF gets Boldin and adds the 2nd pick in the 2nd round by trading their backup qb.

Seattle adds Harvin to an offense that averaged 30 points a game with a rookie qb.

Dallas? Sits in the cap penalty box and loses former #1 picks that should never have been drafted.

Help me out. Need a reason to think Dallas will compete for a superbowl soon.

Just start boozing til you could care less really bout football anymore like a lot have been doing around here for years. There really is no reason this franchise is broken from the top to the bottom.

There are no reasons they should. They are managed horribly.

Although for all the praise Stephen gets and all the defending of his cap ways, it's been awfully quiet as of late.

Good call guys, the cap will never be a problem. Here we are though, hoping the team can work out a long term deal for Spencer just so they can sign a couple of a JAGs.

This reminds me of the days when Troy, Emmitt and Irvin were getting old, but without the championships.

We're headed back to those days. Hopefully, Dallas can get another Bill Parcells that will get the organization back into the right direction.

These teams were already good. I'm more worried watching the Eagles right now make some smart signings vs superstars. Seems they have a good plan in place. Of course you never know.

I'd rather see Seattle win it than SF, but yeah, it's depressing. Who knows though. As long as we can make it into the post season and get hot at the right time anything can happen.

I'm really sad, too. Not really. There's a good chance those teams don't both even make the playoffs.

I tend not to worry too much about who's doing what outside our division. I just want to see us draft well, stay healthy, and compete in the NFCE. Once we qualify for the postseason, I'll worry about the other teams we'll be competing against. The odds are pretty decent, though, that there will be at least one surprise team playing in a championship game, if not the Superbowl again next year.

yepp, this franchise is broken, a complete mess. to have the popularity and spending money we do, yet play .500 ball for 16+ years, absolutely amazing.

Jerry Jones might be suffering from some sort of dementia or something...being completely serious. Hearing interviews of him now compared to the superbowl years, theres a few screws loose.

After Romo is on his last leg in 3-5 years & they have to let him go but get lucky and find a replacement for Romo that can compete at a high level and manage to build a team that can support the new QB, then you might see them compete in a Super Bowl in 7 years.

Feel better?

SEA and SF are going to run into some serious issues when they have to sign their QBs to their second deals - assuming they stay on the team.

Teams like MIA, IND, JAG, MIN, CLE, and KC all have QBs that are not making top tier FA money right now. Many of those teams have rookie QBs on rookie deals that are incredibly cheap compared to the Brees, Flacco, and the Manning brothers. The above teams can spend more on the pieces around their rookie QBs because they aren't making a fraction of what the other proven vets are. However, come contract time they will have huge decisions on their hand.

Dallas has $16M tied up to Romo this year. Imagine if we had a rookie QB on a rookie deal right now...we would have cap space to sign a top tier FA or two at the very minimum.

So which would it be? A rookie QB or a proven vet QB? The front office believes that Romo can do it...do you?

Jerry Jones is suffering of being Jerry Jones. Can't we all just call him a football genius and he moves along?

dallasfan4lizife gets the prize for blaming Jerry Jones first in a thread about SF and SEA.

Nice try, everybody else. Better luck next time!

San Francisco has lost a lot already this off season.

But the again, they have a ton of picks in the draft

I know you're talking about how gritty he is late in football games, so that's why it's amusing. :)
