Is that really the logic we are going with here? “Since they won the Super Bowl a decade ago they have not been to another one”. I would take winning a Super Bowl every 10-15 years then just being pretty good the rest of the time.
Stop living in the past.

Stop living in the past.
This century is not the past. The 2010s are hardly the past. The Ravens have won 2 Super Bosls since the Cowboys were last in a conference championship game.

If you told me the Cowboys had 2 Super Bowls in in the past quarter century, I would consider that a win.

He does? It’s been 8 weeks and he hasn’t figured out you can’t run pollard at the heart of the defense. A madden player knows more than MM.
Sure he does, but that’s who he has. And you can’t abandon the run up the gut altogether. I mean I know you “madden players” think you can, but that’s in the video games. In real life, it doesn’t work that way.

So keep doing it. Gotcha.

ModEdit: https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/new...-rb-surprise-sleeper-team-emerges-sweepstakes

The sleeper team expected to be in the market for Henry are the Dallas Cowboys. The belief from many is Henry could end up in the NFC East with the Cowboys if Tennessee is willing to eat some of the money remaining on Henry’s contract, estimated to be around $6.2 million.

The Cowboys have Tony Pollard at the top of the depth chart- a player they franchised after releasing Ezekiel Elliott in March. Henry’s power running style is viewed as the perfect compliment to Pollard’s big play ability as a ball carrier and pass catcher.

Pauline is proven to be one of the best insiders who has been on the money in the past.
So we are the sleeper team huh.

More like the team that's usually asleep at the switch during these situations.

Hard to believe we won't find some type of excuse not to make this trade happen I'll believe it when I see it

My final thoughts are they don't do it, because it could potentially divide guys in the locker room. At least, that's the way I think the Cowboys will approach it.. That, and it will cost a draft pick.

You skipped over the part about the Ravens being the favorites to land Henry. Another organization where winning actually matters. Apparently they arent as worried about the money part.
Aint no way in hell the Titans trade Henry to the Ravens, there is some serious bad blood between those two teams.

Remember when the Ravens all danced on the Titan's 50 yard line logo after beating them in a playoff game and Harbaugh and Vrabel would not even shake hands afterwards.

IMO- Whether it’s Derrick Henry or some other RB, the Cowboys badly need to infuse some life into this running game/offense or we are headed to a 9-8/10-7 type season. Another “relevant” season for the Jones boys
Jerry and his idiot boy thought Pollard was a bell cow and they could ram him between the tackles over and over again.

And people wonder why our running game is ranked 3rd to last in the league.

I think Tennessee will take Henry's wishes into account being that he is a top 5 all time player for that organization.

Henry would definitely much rather go to Baltimore....who always (in the modern era) have a good run blocking oLine and good coaches, and a respectable organizational hierarchy and GM to close his career out on a high note

We don't have those things... and with a certain person who will be with him behind the line of scrimmage not instilling fear in opposing defenses, Henry would be a punching bag running behind our line with our "passing game dynamic" the way it is.

He will be a Raven. We don't need to be throwing picks at a guy near the end anyway. We need to rebuild. You can't say "well our last few 2nd rounders didn't work so let's just give up and use them on guys near retirement".... no, just get better! Hire a real GM.... emulate the other successful franchises! But, sadly, we all know Jerruh would rather not win at all with him calling the shots, then win a SB with someone else leading the draft and making decisions, who might get some of the credit. His own personal ego is more important to him than the tens of millions hopes and dreams of Cowboy fans everywhere, including the 50 or so in here.
Excellent point.

If you gave Jerry two options, one where he is the GM and makes all the decisions and the team wins jack, or option two where he hires a GM who makes all the decisions, and the Cowboys win the SB...............which option do you think Jerry would take?

I think we all know the answer to this...................Jerry would rather be in charge and lose, than win a SB if somebody else gets the credit (see Jimmy Johnson).

No, I’m pretty sure the 2010s are in the past.

Sounds like the Jets with Jamal Adams, we will only trade him if someone gives us a deal we cannot refuse, like the Seahawks did
