Derrick Johnson bashers

It's pretty clear that Derrick Johnson bashers fall into one of three camps:

1. Those who haven't watched enough Texas football to have an informed opinion

2. Those who do not like the Longhorns

3. Those who have no ability whatsoever to identify football talent

Johnson is the best defensive prospect in this draft, and quite frankly, second isn't very close. Passing on him at 11 would be insane.

I guess I fall into catergory 3 cause I live in Austin, love the horns, but I have major concerns with his tackling abilities. Unless it improves I think he will fly around force a fumble here and there but miss a lot of tackles along the way.

I'm not a Johnson-basher, I just don't think he's sliced bread. I see holes in his game.....I guess this makes me a basher.......

It's like the whole, stupid Quincy Carter debates......If you didn't worship the ground he walked on, you hated him.......or didn't know football.

Why can't people just realize there are other opinions out there other than their own? This board is for discussion. It's for gathering information and ideas.

How the F do you know that DJ is the best defensive prospect in the draft? The fact is, you don't. It's YOUR OPINION. D.J. is awesome, but there is no telling how the cards will fall in the next few years.

finally started working again. anyway DJ is a nice player but not the best LB to come out in the past 5 years.
