Details On How Cowboys Could have Had Lions 2nd Pick

I thought my buddy was pulling my leg when he told me about this.

Talk about the Twilight Zone...

They make you an offer as well

What is up with the zero class signature pic?

Let's not stoop to Commander fan level here.

Lions are smoking crack. Maybe Ware straight up for the number 2.

But jeez talk about a moronic deal.

Who would you trade Ware for at the # 2 pick? Ware is a proven pro bowl player.

Calvin Johnson.

I am not saying I would do it but it would be a deal to think about. Ware, 1, 2, and 3 is insane.

Ware for CJ straight up...

I'm not letting Ware go.

A pass rushing all around Pro Bowl OLB is worth more then the best WR in the game.

I am sure glad we passed on this.......I like Johnson alot, but, I love DeMarcus Ware!

I agree. Good WRs are a lot easier to find then good pass rushers.

I'd take Lawrence Taylor over Jerry Rice every time.

Mickey Spags reported that The Lions offered the 2nd pick to the Cowboys for the Cowboys 1st, 2nd and 3rd rd picks AND DeMarcus Ware.

"OK, he said the Cowboys would have to select a "wow" player if they bundled their picks to move way up in the draft. Details, details. They had a chance but the price was far too steep for Calvin Johnson. Detroit wanted to switch spots in the first, then get the Cowboys' second, third and, while no one would mention a name, but process of elimination, DeMarcus Ware since we were told it was a defensive Pro Bowl player.

No way."

you can only make this kind of trade for Michael Turner

David

It's just a simply an example of why teams picking in the 20's rarely move up to the top of the draft. The cost of doing so is prohibitive.

Don't the Lions know Jerry INVENTED the "Hershel Trade". He ain't gonna go for that weak stuff! LOL

Why would Dallas give up a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Demarcus Ware for a Detroit WR when Dallas could just pick him up in a couple of years off of waivers?
