I understand not giving up the long ball. I understand forcing the defense to make long sustained drives.

But did you see some of the 3rd and longs that Campbell was converting to wide open receivers in the middle?
He converted three 3rd and long plays. A few others went either incomplete or were intercepted. That's hardly enough to indict the defense on what has otherwise been an exceptional season.

And unfortunately, the one team that he was wrong against most likely stands in our way in the super bowl.
And Henry was out of that game forcing us to either stay in base packages or use Nate Jones in coverage. The next go 'round will obviously be different.

Overall the defense has played well, but I'm saying there have been sequences in games where the defense has not played well that has allowed teams to come back in and create some scares.

I recall a possession where Washington was backed up inside their 20 on 3rd 15. A stop there would be absolutely huge. But then the Skins converted. It's plays like that are so frustrating.

Yeah, that's going to happen at times. Hell, look at the Patriots. They were behind in the 4th quarter in two games this year. That I can recall, we've only been behind in the 4th quarter in two games this year as well.

all Ds give up plays, the outcome of the game is all that matters

we are tops in the NFL in 3rd down D, although we have our moments

I don't feel the Pats pass D is that great either. But at the current moment, I feel the Pats O has a greater advantage over the Boys D than the Boys O has an advantage over the Pats D.

Hopefully, anthony henry does make a big difference if we play them again, and the coverages continue to improve.

I dunno. It's a tough call. I think both our pass offense and defense have improved significantly since that game. And I think their pass defense (or defense in general) has declined significantly and will continue to decline as the year goes on because of their age. I still think they'd beat us, but it'd be very close.

Opponents can't run the ball against Dallas - so what option does that leave them?

The Lions run game has been absolutely awful these last 4 games and our run D is amazing. Detroit will have no choice but to pass. They usually treat the Dallas game as their Super Bowl, so the Cowboys can't take them lightly. But this Dallas team is totally focused, especially on the road. With a 10 day rest, we should take care of business. Besides, Detroit hasn't done too well against the NFC East this year. Hopefully, we'll continue that trend.

As bad as the lions offense has looked. They will found alot of holes in our secondary.

Did you watch the game today?

Detroits o-line is complete garbage, Roy Williams is hurt, and their defense folds like oragomi once their opponent crosses the 50.

If we dont beat this team by 2 TDs min, we are total frauds.

My prediction: 35-10:D

I can't be arsed to read this thread the Lions Oline is a joke and our Pass rush has been getting nastier as the weeks have gone by
