Have you seen the new kickoff rules? An ultra shifty RB like Deuce might be good at returning those.

Who is not making the 53 for him? Dowdle, Zeke, Lupke, Freeman. The gimmick is over. They will waive him and put him on the PS but I would be shocked they put a player they can't play on the 53.

Yep. They did in mini camp also. But he is still RB.

Unless it's either Freeman or Dowdle that gets cut, I have trouble finding a spot for Vaughn as well. I think our running scheme is set up for the bigger backs because we want to run between the tackles. Vaughn didn't show the ability last year to break tackles and churn for yards, which I think is what we're going to rely on. There may be a spot for him as a third-down back where he'd be handed draws in space and work as a receiver, but I don't know if his blocking is good enough for that.
