He did indeed. The juice he brought made the D look slow. Scrubs or not it’s hard to do that in the NFL.Man, he looked electric against the Jaguars. Admittedly against scrubs.

Now just imagine if it's legit no matter the competition and we can have the same old Pollard with this as his backup when he's not on the field. He did indeed. The juice he brought made the D look slow. Scrubs or not it’s hard to do that in the NFL.
Yup, the hype machine was in his corner from the very beginning and to his credit he shined when given the opportunity.I hope that he can deliver .
My question is , if Vaughn is the only RB in the backfield, is it a pretty good bet it’s not going to be a pass?Man, he looked electric against the Jaguars. Admittedly against scrubs.
Big Mac talked about that yesterday in his TC press conference. Guys like Deuce and Turpin... doesn't want it to be obvious on the play, so they are fully involving them in everything from the block plays to the playmaker plays. They have to be complete players to earn their spot.My question is , if Vaughn is the only RB in the backfield, is it a pretty good bet it’s not going to be a pass?
I don’t want to see the munchkin picking up a blitzer with a full head of steam.

Teams aren't going to know what hit them. They're used to Zeke's north-south battering ram. Now they have to find and tackle these guys with Pollard and Deuce carrying the ball. And then when they realize they are also deep passing threats, will get real interesting. It looks like Deuce Vaughn is going to get a lot of touches this weekend. Here is what is in a DallasCowboys.com article today about Wednesday’s practice:
- A large portion of running back reps were given to Deuce Vaughn on Wednesday as the hero from the preseason debut saw more designed runs and passes go his way to finish off the last padded practice in Oxnard. Vaughn's evolving implementation into the offense both with the first and second-teams should increase the confidence of the rookie out of Kansas State for his future role in Dallas. (Nick Harris)
It seems like he practiced a lot with the first and second teams, so it appears like the team plans on his playing early and often. That is good, IMO, because I want to see how he performs with more decent players around him. I guess that depth chart didn’t mean a whole lot.
Anyway, it is going to be very interesting. I’m so glad football is back.

thanks for the info……wish I had more time to check out press conferences and other info. It makes perfect sense though. With guys like Vaughn, there are obvious pros and cons but the coaches know how to exploit the pros and hide the consBig Mac talked about that yesterday in his TC press conference. One of the plays I noticed where Vaughn was able to protect himself was a catch over the middle with a linebacker bearing down on him. In mid air he was able to adjust his body and actually position himself so the tackler hit more of the ground , than him, even though he all over him…..so Im confident he can protect himself.Vaughn played in a pro style offense in college against some of the best competition there is and stuff like this was never an issue.
Nobody watched a K State game and came away thinking Vaughn was a weakness in any type of way.
He has elite skill and ability and the NFL determined he wouldnt translate because he is so short and what they didnt take into consideration is that his height is what makes him a special player.
Hes great between the tackles, hes great at getting open against man coverage, and hes as agile and elusive at it gets.
Sometimes the NFL just gets it wrong and this is going to be a case of that.

He's a long way from K State.He did it at K-St.
Actually, they will throw him the ball. He is outstanding as a receiver.I doubt he will have much of a blocking role. Can't see him being the tailback on passing situations. Both he and Dak will suffer for that.
Barry Sanders was a long way from Oklahoma State. He's a long way from K State.
Agree, but I can't see trusting him with blocking duties on pass plays.Actually, they will throw him the ball. He is outstanding as a receiver.
Oh no you didn't.Barry Sanders was a long way from Oklahoma State.
I really hope he's kept and developed but I have my doubts.Nice to see this also:
"The battle for the right to back up Tony Pollard is rolling along nicely, this time it being rookie fullback Hunter Luepke getting some solid reps in on Wednesday. Luepke operated out of the single back set and it was his pass protection that truly stood out as the Cowboys get ready to visit the Seahawks. (Patrik Walker)"
I'm kind of like a broken record on these bubble roster guys when I constantly say it usually comes down to STs. He strikes me as the type to be a good STs guy on all 5 teams alignments. Add in his blocking, receiving and ability to run if needed and hopefully on short yardage downs and he seems to have the perfect bottom of the roster skill set for us. Question is, is he good enough. The other thing that would help him make the team would be if a clear #2 RB wins the job outright. We will definitely have 3 RBs on the roster. We may have 4 if we keep a FB. If we aren't sure who will be the #2 it will likely cause us to keep both of the finalists which might make Luepke #4 at best. I think at worst he is a PS guy. Not sure he will get enough eyeballs on him for another team to roster him and if he is picking between practice squads I suspect we have a leg up.I really hope he's kept and developed but I have my doubts.
