It’s like some of y’all never watched him play in college but to be fair to some of you the NFL probably screwed it up too.

They bet on his size being a weakness.
It’s what makes him special.
There has been a lot of judgements made about Vaughn since the draft.

It's crystal clear those folks didn't watch any K-St games. Some didn't watch highlight videos.

What I don’t like is when people are so married to their opinion on a player that they just about can’t come off it and admit they were wrong to begin with.

I’ve seen it a lot on this forum. Like with Deuce… assuming he keeps playing well and gets the RB2 spot. If someone said he wasn’t going to make the team, they continue to pull against him and point out any negative in his play going forward all season long. They have effectively started pulling against a player on their favorite team. Because they doubted him to begin with, they go on and on talking down about that player and throwing any mistake up in everyone’s faces.

Why they can’t just be glad that Dallas found a good player and just say they were wrong about him? I don’t know that answer because I’m not a pshycologist… but it must just be human nature because we see it often.

Anyway kids… if you’re wrong about a player being good (or bad), just admit you were wrong and try to enjoy the players on your favorite team.

I think you’re right. What he will do in the NFL is about what he did at K State… which is play damn good football, earn the love of his teammates, and create headaches for defenses. The few plays he had tonight looked just like what he did in college.

If Dallas starts throwing him the ball out in space, he really is going to be a problem for defenders.

Some of the worst takes ever are on here. Same dudes will trash shady McCoy's takes though smh. The new love or hate players this year are mazi, deuce and schoon. It's going to be unbearable to add that in with the dak/dlaw/etc etc

Everyone is pulling for him, but he’s not going to get near as many touches as fans are hoping for or are predicting he will get this season. Currently he has three backs listed ahead of him. I think he’ll make the team, but he could also end up on the practice squad.
You've been negative towards this guy since the draft. I hope you don't mind being roasted when he breaks out.

I freely admit I never saw a play from him in college and never wanted him. Once we took him....I watched a bunch of him and was blown away.

The guy plays like he is 215lbs. There is no small back to him.

He will have a big role with us this year.

Haha, yep. You know Schoon is going to catch hell unless he is dominating as a rookie. Hell, there will be fans hating him for his whole career because they didn’t want Dallas to use a second on him, and we all know it. It won’t matter even if who they did want the team to draft sucks and is out of the league… they’ll hate the poor guy anyway.

Even if he is an all pro as a rookie, they’ll still have a bunch of “yeah buts” ready. It never ceases to amaze me.

2nd half, (9:50 - 3rd). Vaughn catches a 1yd pass from Grier. Ugly pass at the sideline. ONLY 1yd, BUT, Deuce made a good reaching catch with had good hands. That effort converts a 3rd/4th and 1 when it counts.

He's clearly taking no plays off and taking no play/opportunity for granted.

As a runner: Vision, cutback ability, burst. Again, reminds me of a small Aaron Jones.

I dunno if he'll break off 75-80yd runs, but if he can average 4+, that's good enough.

CANNOT let him go to the PS. He has to be #2/#3 RB

He won’t ever see the PS. He will make the 53.

If he gets to 190, he can definitely hold up in the NFL. Plenty of 190 pounds last. And a 190 pound 5'5 guy is equivalent to a 210 pound 6ft runner in height to weight ratio.

Deuce looked a lot faster today and his cuts were really good. He has earned an opportunity next week to play with the 2nd string team. Maybe even a couple of reps with the 1st team to see how he is with the starters.

Lots of people have trouble admitting they were wrong. Couple that with the room temperature average IQ of this place and you’re going to end up with a great number of stubborn people holding on to any sliver that might allow them to maintain preconceived notions
