Easy to tackle if they actually get hands on him, sure. He’s not going to break a lot of tackles. But he IS going to make a lot of players miss, hesitate, etc. He will NEVER be an every down back, but I think he will be an effective change of pace guy.
Amazingly, Deuce was a tough runner to tackle in college. His effort didnt end when someone put a hand on him. He actually got a decent chunk of yards after contact. The little bugger is not a pushover. If someone thinks hes gonna be an easy tackle they may get embarassed

It’s gonna be fun watching this guy prove everyone wrong. I look forward to years of the juvenile short jokes. Less than a week into camp and they’re already stale!

They can't call a guy for "going" low if the guy is just naturally low, right?

We'll know the refs are bent if they call him for a "high" hit.
They'll be flagging him for chop blocks constantly,,, (I'd laugh if I didn't think this might actually happen)

If they keep getting to close to QB then I expect Elliot to be resigned to a cheap heavy incentive based contract. Give him incentive money to work towards.

Deuce has the element of surprise, blitzers won't even know he's there.

Makes me think of how Muggsy used to just sneak up on guys to steal the ball because they couldn't see him lol

That was my thought, how can they throw the flag for illegal chop block when he is throwing the block low do to height restriction.

I agree! This is a very interesting pick. In many ways.
Could go either way quickly.

Dallas has been ultra conservative giving non Vet RBs any exposure, but NFL stands for Not For Long as we all know, and that trend of ultra conservatism has no other choice but come to an abrupt end.

This team desperately needs early results and integration from Davis, Deuce and Lupke.

If we get any juice out of RJ or Dowdle is good, but if not this is the new devaluation of RB NFL, so just sit tight and wait for final cutdowns, there will be some RBs with value, just getting to them late now makes a difference on who you are selecting to bring in.

Watch for the RB cuts that can integrate quickly, because if we are seeking RB help at that time, we need RB/RBs that can fit MM scheme in Sept,,, not Jan.

Bet guys don’t like going up against him. I’d bet he hits hard as hell and gets LOW.
Smalls has survived this far doing just that.
My question is will they sell his Jersey in 2XL or junior only.
That is the first and final size joke targeted at Deuce that I will make,,, Im banking on this kid and full expectations for him, I just cant refuse to stay completely out of short people jokes.

I'm gonna give you all a heads up about the DV bandwagon, this guy is very easy to tackle so don't get too excited about this guy
I need to see that to believe it, but some might take your word for it.
