It was from drinking toilet cleaner, wasn't it?Doctors freaked out when I got rushed into the ER at a very young age with a large laceration and they could not understand why my blood was blue.
I believe Vaughn's size is the overwhelming rationale behind the majority of criticism directed at his opportunity of succeeding at the NFL level. Any hint of how some of his skill set might mirror Sanders, etc., is automatically negated by that assumption. Just my opinion.problem is, with Deuce, theres really no one else he can compare to. He's a combo of Barry Sanders and Sproles. somewhere in between the two I guess. He's very Unique. With Allen, many teams missed with him because of where he played ball. U just never can tell what a guy will turn into. Thats why the draft is like throwing darts.
Agree. it boils down to size and how we been conditioned to think backs just can't be that size and be successful. Largely that's right, but there have been exceptions. Lionel Little train James was a great small rb. His size was his advantage.I believe Vaughn's size is the overwhelming rationale behind the majority of criticism directed at his opportunity of succeeding at the NFL level. Any hint of how some of his skill set might mirror Sanders, etc., is automatically negated by that assumption. Just my opinion.
YAC is what differentiates running backs. Any back in the league can get 6 yards untouched.
A back that size getting hit directly sideways, by a safety nonetheless, and not falling forward at the second level is going to lose yards relative to other players. This isn't a mystery.
It's the first two carries here: premiere backs turn both of those into more yardage
Agreed. The only real criticism I saw from this tape is at 27 seconds. He had a wide open hole to the right that could have gone for serous yardage.
Outside that, the only real criticism is looks like is how his size is going to translate in the NFL with much faster players. He’s very shifty and has that nice stop and go action. If you get him in space, it definitely looks like he can do some damage. At the same time, potential for a lot of negative yardage when a defender can get a decent hit.
Yeah, in another thread, there was a guy talking about how Deuce was just too short to be good. In response to someone saying Barry Sanders was short too, he said that Barry Sanders was 5’10” and that there was a big difference in their height.I see similarities in their skill sets and game. But we have to tread lightly or some mistake it for anointing him as “the next” when nobody is saying that.
My skepticism at Sanders comparisons is simply because I've never seen anyone who compares to him, and it'll take a lot to change my opinion. I think that may be the crux of many others' reactions as well.I believe Vaughn's size is the overwhelming rationale behind the majority of criticism directed at his opportunity of succeeding at the NFL level. The very definition of a Strawman argument.Yeah, in another thread, there was a guy talking about how Deuce was just too short to be good. In response to someone saying Barry Sanders was short too, he said that Barry Sanders was 5’10” and that there was a big difference in their height.
So I responded to this guy saying that Sanders wasn’t 5’10” that he was 5’8” and that Emmitt was 5’9”. He then checked around the Internet, came back and said he thought he was 5’10” and didn’t know it was just 5’8”.
Later, when arguing in another thread about Deuce said, (as people have in this thread), that people are comparing Vaughn to Barry Sanders. When asked for proof, he re-posted what I wrote, lol.
I saw that and mentioned that I was just correcting Sander’s height… not saying that Deuce is like Sanders.
Some fans will absolutely twist what is said to make it look like other’s are saying Deuce will be as good as Barry.
Nobody is saying that.
Bookmarked. By years end we will forget who Kay Adams and Deuce Vaughn are. Got it.Remains to be seen..."LOL".
Note that I ain't saying you're wrong. I do admire your narcissism...er I mean... confidence!
Just speaking for myself… I will never forget who Kay Adams is.Bookmarked. By years end we will forget who Kay Adams and Deuce Vaughn are. Got it.

I mean I won’t either lol…but I’m going to let him pretend he will lol.Just speaking for myself… I will never forget who Kay Adams is.
That works both ways. If he picked up yards like this running behind the likes of Matt Waletzko, Earl Bostick, and Matt Farniok, what kind of damage can he do with the Smiths, Martin, and Steele blocking for him?So after 1 preseason game against #2's and #3's the entire league messed up allowing Vaughn to go to Dallas???? Damn man talking about anointing a rookie to greatness a little too soon.
We will know that answer in about a month. That works both ways. If he picked up yards like this running behind the likes of Matt Waletzko, Earl Bostick, and Matt Farniok, what kind of damage can he do with the Smiths, Martin, and Steele blocking for him?
I can't wait, hopefully this kid is Darren Sproles 2.0.We will know that answer in about a month.
