I suggested that this week..

This is the guy we need in the roads.
I'm interested in seeing it. Some have made up their mind about a rookie player. I just want to see what he can do. It could be bad, but he also could surprise us all. If we're just going to pound him up the middle, though, he likely won't fare any better than Pollard has.

Doesn't the whole "Always positive" thing get old for ya'll?

They don't have a plan for Duece. They aren't looking forward to it. They are only making him active out of necessity. They think he sucks. He was only drafted because of his dad.

It would be refreshing if coaches/players/owners would just be more honest instead of insulting the intelligence of everyone by acting insanely positive about everything.

I get that you can't say you think he sucks, but don't fake happy about having to play him when you've done everything you can to keep him in street clothes most of the season.
Why does it bother you that people are happy to see the kid get an opportunity? This kid was a top 10 rusher in the country playing in a power five conference. It's not like he was some JuCo standout. There is a role for him in the NFL just like there was Maurice Jones-Drew, Dave Meggett, Jamie Morris, Darren Sproles, Lionel James and other smaller backs. It's up to the coaches to figure out how to get production from him.

Deuce is not the answer. I'd rather they give the ball to Davis. The problem with Deuce, besides being to slow, is when he is in the game the other team seems to know the ball is going to him and they attack him.

Unless they came up with some brilliants schemes I expect to see him get tackled for losses at least 3 times.

They've had him all season and done everything they can to keep him inactive each week. They aren't excited to be forced to make him dress for a game finally.

Get real, Ronnie.

Fake screen to Deuce and throwback to CD on the other side.

The Cowboys kept Miles Austin as just a kick returner and #3 receiver for the first 5 games of the 2009 season. When he got a chance to start he blossomed into one of the top 2 or 3 receivers in the league. The assumption that these coaches always know what they're doing has been proven false more times than I can count.

Are you calling it right now that Deuce is going to be a star?

Are you going on record?

So how come he hasn't played yet? You know something the coaches don;t?

Playing because of injury....isn't very encouraging.

But hey...sometimes it works out. Hoping for the best!
He hasn't played because Rico won the 2 job and they wanted to keep all of their backs and used the elevations on Davis to keep all of the backs for depth. Now that the elevations are used up they can activate Deuce and use him with the injury to Rico.

In all seriousness, Dallas may be looking for a special teams jolt.
Turpin made two critical errors on punt returns; allowing a ball to hit at the 16 and roll inside the two and also ran to the short side later in the game with a wall of blockers to the left. That ball that rolled inside the two handcuffed the offense.
They are looking to give Deuce a few carries when Pollard needs a rest.

Nope... never said any such thing. All I have said is that just because they have not used him doesn't automatically mean he can't play. Coaches sometimes have a hard time seeing what a guy can do in practice. That is especially true for running backs and linebackers with the way they practice these days where they are mostly doing walk-throughs in sweats and never tackling. You gotta put the guy in game situations to know for sure what he's got. I repeat.. there is a role for a guy with his skillset. It's up to the coaches to find that role and maximize it.
