He won’t see much action, but they’ll do something like roll Dak right with a throwback to the left where Deuce will have a couple blockers and he’ll pick up 25 yards and this room will explode with, “We should have been using Deuce this way all along!”

I fear that scenario and I make zero apologies for not wanting to see the leader of The Lollipop Guild on the field.

About time

You guys joke, but Deuce can play and just needs a chance to prove it
So how come he hasn't played yet? You know something the coaches don;t?

Playing because of injury....isn't very encouraging.

But hey...sometimes it works out. Hoping for the best!

In all seriousness, Dallas may be looking for a special teams jolt.
Turpin made two critical errors on punt returns; allowing a ball to hit at the 16 and roll inside the two and also ran to the short side later in the game with a wall of blockers to the left. That ball that rolled inside the two handcuffed the offense.

If I remember correctly, whenever Deuce was on the field earlier in the season, opponents began blitzing the crap out of Dak.

Doesn't the whole "Always positive" thing get old for ya'll?

They don't have a plan for Duece. They aren't looking forward to it. They are only making him active out of necessity. They think he sucks. He was only drafted because of his dad.

It would be refreshing if coaches/players/owners would just be more honest instead of insulting the intelligence of everyone by acting insanely positive about everything.

I get that you can't say you think he sucks, but don't fake happy about having to play him when you've done everything you can to keep him in street clothes most of the season.

To be fair these coaches have started Dennis Houston at wide receiver and refused to deploy their biggest back in most short yardage and goal line situations. They also insist that Chuma Edoga is the best we can do at LT when Tyron is out. The same coaching staff continues to play Donovan Wilson at deep safety and uses a 6 DB alignment in running situations on defense. In short, their track record is littered with head scratching personnel decisions. I am going to stop well short of assuming they're always right.
