Deuce can't pass protect and is not the hammer we need on the goal line. So I see the Lions feasting on him. Scenario B.

Still LMAO at the inevitable "if they use him right" comments!
-as if that's the only reason he wouldn't succeed.

"Just get him in open space" LOL....
Who wouldn't like open space? Pollard would like some of that open space too.

What’s keeping him off the field is Dallas has a fullback that can play RB in a pinch and special teams.

They like having a fullback.

Turpin is far superior in the return game so can’t use him there.
When they thought Dowdle might miss a game earlier, McCarthy mentioned Davis as possibly replacing him, not Vaughn. Even Turpin has had more meaningful carries than Vaughn who’s gotten mostly mop up carries. The FB we have is averaging 1.3 a carry which less than the 1.8 Vaughn is averaging. The Cowboys being a pass first offense is keeping Vaughn off the field because he can’t block and hasn’t shown anything in the running game with the opportunities he’s gotten. He’s had almost as many negative carries as positive carries.

Well looks like Dowdle is out this week and no sign of Davis.

Vaughn is going to be good. I’m confident.

Even with this crappy run blocking he’s going to bring a spark to our offense. Don’t believe me? Watch…

The main reason he can’t gain any yards is the run blocking. Lol He’s not going to run over anyone or break many tackles. Seeing that we have a playoff spot wrapped up they may give Vaughn a good look. I don’t see him being part of this team next year unless he lights it up these last 2 games. Pollard will likely be gone in free agency unless he accepts a team friendly deal. We’re going to have to improve at RB and Vaughn is simply too small. He’ll probably end up in the USFL/XFL.

This is why they needed to trade for Henry but we wasted trading for lance. Henry could have been had for that fourth and a second

main problem here is everyone keeps wanting to compare this guy to sproles who was 5’7 the Deuce at most is 5’4. Second we run a west coast. A scat back does not fit into the west coast scheme. A back like deuce can only get meaningful yards out of RPO’s with guards who can get out onto space for short screens

By next year yall will claim deuce is 5'2 lol. Why lie on his height when he's already short? Sheesh

Amen, they absolutely have to get the kid the ball in space to take advantage of what he can do. Most of the runs he has had early in the season have been plunges up the middle late in games when the defense knows we're running it up the gut. I would never expect great results under those circumstances. Especially while the line is losing at 3/5 of its positions.
Amen. Post of the day.

Yeah that is absolute nonsense. And Sproles was 5'6" too .. just like Deuce. But as you say, by training camp next year people have have Deuce at 5'3" 123 pounds. The power of people to believe what they want to believe cannot be overstated.
