I was thinking the same thing Monday night.

I will add that he was drafted much higher than Skyler Green -- Hester was picked in the late 2nd round. That's high to take a guy whose only job is returning punts. I think everyone would have had a fit if we'd have taken him that high. Then again, we used that pick on Fasano, who's been less than stellar.

Problem was he was drafted in the 3rd round. I'd really rather have Jason Hatcher, who shows major upside as a full time player. I'd definitely rather have Hester or Skyler Green, but Green wasn't drafted until the 4th.

The only thing I don't like about Hester is he's an incredibly unrefined punt returner. Misjudges punts badly and has horrible technique. But he's so quick, explosive and elusive that he usually makes up for it.

He was drafted late in the second round.

I'm glad we didn't draft him, he's from the U. Can never have too few of those players on your roster.

2 return touchdowns allready this year, how many TD's does our second rounder have?

When in fact WAS the last time we took a return to the house? 03? 02?

The Fasano pick has actually grown on me. He's getting a ton of experience in our two-te sets and has shown good hands when the ball is thrown his way. If the Cowboys continue running the two-te scheme the next few years Fasano could end up being a great pick.

2nd round is too high for a one dimensional player.

Well, I believe the Bears took him for his Return abilities, but hope he can develop into a solid corner, which he played in College.

Most felt as a Cornerback, he definately needed to stay in school another year.

At this point, I dont think the Bears are regretting that decision, but as far as the Cowboys, I dont think he would be a good pick in the 2nd round.

Yeah, 2nd round seems for Hester - but there will always be at least one team that will reach for someone with remarkable quickness.

If Parcells had him, though, I'd guess that Hester would be taking a snap or two on offense. Not more than a couple and not every game, but they'd have Hester running a post-pattern, fake reverse, or something.

they had him working at WR during the Senior Bowl, the Bears will be waiting on his coverage abilities for awhile
