Devin Thomas Carted Off

Devin Thomas, the wide receiver who was the Commanders' first overall pick in the April draft, has suffered what appears to be an injury to his right hamstring and was taken from the field on a cart. He ran down the right sideline for a deep pass from Jason Campbell and fell to the ground as he went for the catch, Jason Reid reports. He was helped up, then the cart was brought onto the field. Thomas, a 6-2, 218-pounder from Michigan State, was a second-round pick.

YOU HAVE TO BE ******* KIDDING ME!!!:bang2:

wow...whos the trainer there?? Their players conditioning is doo-doo.

Hopefully it is some form of cramping or hamstring strain.

It has to be pretty hot there with the humidity.

per the article..

has suffered what appears to be an injury to his right hamstring

Maybe someone can introduce the Commanders training staff to a new warmup method being developed by the government called stretching. Or maybe they can give the players water. Who knows?

Too early to panic. He may just have strained it. I supervised some kids who were working out and in talking to a trainer, I learned that poor hydration strategies, combined with an inadequate stretching routine, account for a fair number of early or pre-season injuries. He also said that some o these young guys over train, making them a bit "brittle". In any event, here's hoping it's something minor.

They'd better watch out, because Malcolm Kelly isn't all that durable either.

Suddenly, there goes all your WR depth.

If he was carted off -- it's definitely more then cramping...

Soon the Bengals will be receiving a trade offer. Three firsts for Ocho, and they'll cut down the rest of the trees that border the Potomac.

Or maybe they want Terry.

Too early to know that.

These guys are so big, and especially for a rookie who maybe was going to hard the whole time.

If he really was cramping bad he wouldnt be able to walk.

I am just saying, he might have torn his hamstring off the bone, I hope not.

Even for our most hated rivals I hate to hear this kind of thing. Injuries suck.

Man, there's always a team or two that suffer ridiculous injuries at the beginning of training camp. The Commanders appear to be 2008's version.

I hate training camp for this very reason. I pray this doesn't happen to us.

Get on that bike Terrell, and stay out of harm's way! I'm serious, if Owens wants to peddle right up to September, I'm all for it.
