Can't see that happening. The only knock on him is his play weight, but receivers can survive around that weight. I assume he'll gain a bit of muscle in a year or so.
DeSean Jackson was 169lb at the combine
Smith is the most polished, great route runner, his weight will slide him down a little and I would hate to see him get to Philly.

Devonta Smith the Heismann Winner put up great numbers at Alabama the last 2 seasons. Here is the catch, He had Jerry Jeudy & Henry Ruggs in 2019 and Jaylen Waddle & Joe Meggie taking double coverage off of him. Is he a #1 WR in this league at 6-1,170 lbs? Faster WRs in this draft and some bigger could make his draft stock drop.

Devonta Smith 6-1,170 ran a 4.48

Jamarr Chase 6- -1,200 ran a 4.38

Terrance Marshall 6- 3, 205 rams 4.38

Rashad Bateman 6-1 ,190 - 4.39

Kadarius Toney 6-0,193 4.39

Nico Collins 6-4,215- 4,42

Tamorrion Terry- 6-2,206-4.44

Slots
Jaylen Waddle 5-10,182- 4.38

Elijah Moore 5-10,178- 4.32

Rondale Moore 5-7,180 -4.29

D'wayne Eskridge 5-9,180- 4.38

Devonta Smith is a good route runner but at 170 lbs can he hold up to bigger corners who can run faster than him and they are jamming pushing him off route? In my opinion he reminds me of Desmond Howard who was a good route runner but not a great WR in the NFL and got relegated to being a returner
I'll bet You 100 likes that He goes in round 1, I'll even give You 8/1 odds (that's 800 likes if He goes round 2 or later).

Well those who simply said he would be drafted round 1 were right.

I’ve offered no opinion, not one, on if Smith will be a good WR. Look at all my posts on this thread. You are simply making an argument out of nothing.

My only point is you started the thread talking about where he would be picked and moved the topic to Smith’s projected success quickly after. What you or I think about how good he will be is again, irrelevant. I am simply saying he will be drafted in round 1, answering your original prompt.

If you want to engage in further debate about how good Smith will be, by all means start a thread that asks that and you will get all the back and forth you want.
I dont think its too bold of a notion that Smith goes in the top 10.
