Aikbach;1214853 said:Donte Stallworth was traded for Mark Simmineau (sp?) that should be a good indication of how average a starter he is, how are you liking Siminsomethin's average linebacker play? Quite a trade wasn't it.
The Saints are walking into a hornet's nest in the fact that Dallas is out to create separation between the first tier of teams and the rest, New Orleans highlights the rest I'll give 'em that much but Chicago and Dallas will be the team's off with a bye.
By all means beat Chicago, I think you can do it. The Saint defense is slightly less unspectacular than the Chicago offense so you'll matchup well.
Points are more important than yards. New Orleans has allowed craptastic teams to edge you or hang ten ala Tampa, Carolina.Who Dat;1214871 said:Actually, we traded Stallworth for Simoneau and a 4'th round pick...that will turn to a 3'rd if they resign him. So I say in that case the trade has worked out well. Simoneau is starting and our defense is only giving up 25 more yards a game your your defense. And if you defense is everything you say it is, then I guess that is not so bad.
So to answer your original question, I believe Stallworth for a Starting LB and a 3'rd round pick was a pretty good deal.

all teams need good receivers
now if you said that you didn't need Donte's attitude, then that's fine, just don't act like you're above keeping talented players

Who Dat;1214874 said:So saying that Drew Brees is a talented QB but you don't need him b/c you have Romo is a contradiction?
Who Dat said:I understand that you only start 1 QB and can start 2, 3, or 4 WR's but if we don't need what he specializes in, such as deep routes and rather a WR that can catch across the middle, how is that a contradiction?

or it's just a horrible attempt at smack-talking
Tuna Helper;1214890 said:That is a bit misleading. Bledsoe drove the team down the field for a TD that would have tied the game at 31, and possible OT. Instead, he threw an INT in the red zone, and Philly returned it for a TD.
7 of the 38 points was hung on our offense, and another 7 was hung on our special teams when our punter botched a snap.
Bledsoe isn't playing anymore, and this team is on a 5-1 roll while facing a few tough opponents. What is the Saints' record over the past 6 games?
Who Dat;1214900 said:I am sitting here trying to figure out how any of this is relevant?
What is the Saint's record the past 6 games? - What does this have to do with anything? Both of our records are 8-4 correct?
troll said:Teams intercept passes on your QB and teams score off of it? - Doesn't this happen to every team? Wouldn't that make that information objective?
troll said:Where are you going with this?

Ya....except if you look at the whole season, and not just one particular game that says what you want it to say, well....Your D shows to be below average.
Of course, even with your smoke and mirrors argument, you forget to mention that 14 of those 38 points are on the offense and special teams. Thats irrelevant however, since the 1 game argument is flawed from the beginning.
Who Dat;1214910 said:How is that bad?
What system did you use to get you're D rankings?Who Dat;1214910 said:Ok, that's fair. I'll give you that.
Here are the facts:
Dallas Defense is ranked 7’Th in the league currently.
New Orleans Defense is ranked 12’Th in the league currently.
Forget yardage or points allowed *as you have stated that this stat can be skewed by points off turnovers etc.*
The bottom line is you have a good D and we have a good D. But to say we have a below average D is reaching a bit isn't it. We are clearly in the top half of the league and only 5 behind you. How is that bad?
summerisfunner;1214905 said:[/color]
it's relevant when in the last 6 games, we're 5 of 6, while you guys are...not so good
summerisfunner;1214912 said:your rush D is atrocious
we're 7th in scoring D
you, 16th
