Are you just arguing for the sake of arguing? It kinda feels that way. :p:

I guess I do have a bad habit of being antagonistic but I have been in so many of these conversations over the years that I just feel like it's groundhogs day.

I agree that some are way over the top with this but are you a bit concerned with is "track record" so far.

no.

to this day he's made fun of for baggy pants.
fact: they were not his pants.

slow to pay for gaudy jewlery.
fact: remorse hits us all in different ways. :) if you ever want to see dez be young and silly, this would be it. taste in jewlery not a crime, but banking on future nfl money kinda stupid and along the lines what what i've read about him.

he was in a kerfluffle. ie - questioned by police and that was it.

this incident - i've asked 5 times or more WHAT DID DEZ DO?

not one reply.

but a lot of hate.

if dez messes up i'll help him pack and get the hell out of dodge.

but i refuse to let our media today tell me what is going on.

so again to all those saying this shows how bad a person dez is...

...what did he do?

Maybe if this were some isolated even where he hadn't even been involved in anything since coming to the league, we could all be so willing to turn a blind eye.

The fact that there is a last "kerfluffle".....and even more convenient happenings on top of that is the is the real issue.

Again though, the facts will likely prove this is just a case of mistaken identity and that Dez was not involved in any way, shape or form.

way to play both sides.

when you pick one, let me know.

the last one turned out to be a non-issue that people drag up out of desperation.

if it turns out dez took an uzi to a monistary i'll lead the charge against him.

if this is "kerfluffle" - i'll just sit and be amazed how stupid people can be.

WOW

So you're proving points here? Sounds to me like one extreme arguing against the opposite extreme. :look: I'm pretty sure the truth lies somewhere smack dab in the middle. Don't let me stop you though.

you went off topic, not me.

don't get mad at me i noticed.

Unfortunately it is sounding like he assaulted his fiance.

It's pretty well known that Dez is dumb and too emotional. It's hardly news. At the same time, unless he was punching women I really do not care. Even if he had he is accountable to his family, his employers and his teammates.

People need to get over themselves.

at what point do we become too emotional?

Police officials say they were called to the apartment by a female relative of Bryant's. They say she suffered bruises to her upper arm, where Bryant got rough with her using his hands. She has not been named.

Bryant is charged with Class A misdemeanor, which carries a possible one year jail term and up to a $4,000 fine, if convicted.

Ugh.

I'm sorry but this statement is incredibly ignorant.

do you even know what ego stands for without looking it up in the dictionary?

Do you really want to get into the discussion of the semantics of the word 'ego?'

But please tell us specifically how Dez's ego has brought him to this.

In what way?

They've reported he was arrested...........and that's about it, while stating that more details would come.

Then again, I don't have local Dallas broadcasts so maybe I'm out of the loop.

I got home from work and read a few things on the internet and my first sentence in the original post was the initial vibe I got from what I had read.

At this point, it's details we're all waiting for and regardless of how big or small those details are to the situation it just generated negativity for people to play with.

Ugh.

got rough with her using his hands...

i had a friend that had to hold down a psychotic g-friend more than once. he tried using a spatula but that didn't go very far.

the only thing i wish people would do is wait for all the facts.

not make the mystery fit their agenda.

I'm sure she just threw herself at a few walls and did a swan dive into the sidewalk before calling the police. Just ask Iceberg. He'll fill you in nicely. :muttley:

I just remember him getting himself so worked up on the sidelines that he was uncommunicative.

Getting mad and telling security guards to piss off and screaming matches at mall restaurants are typically unwanted behavior.

Don't get me wrong I think stoicism is just as bad and I think that Witten's notion of leadership as everyone being quiet is counterproductive but who am I say when it comes down to it.

Perhaps the standard 'too' was too strong?

I was where you and Fuzzy are back in the "let's perpetually roast TO" days. Have fun with it. Thanks to TO, we now have the popcorn smilie as a mainstay on CZ. Let's see what type of smilie Dez creates. :p:

It was a non-issue from a legal perspective because nothing became of it. Anyone with an ounce of reason saw it for what it was, a poor decision. Maybe not though, maybe bar brawls are notched on everyone's belt.

if it turns out dez took an uzi to a monistary i'll lead the charge against him.

It's sad that this is likely what it would take for you to change your position at all regarding the guys history of behavior. At least you'd be the leading the charge in this one instance.

if this is "kerfluffle" - i'll just sit and be amazed how stupid people can be.

Yeah, people are stupid because they see a history of poor decisions and then express concern when a guy has to turn himself in for domestic violence.

What are those people thinking?
