Do you really want to get into the discussion of the semantics of the word 'ego?'

But please tell us specifically how Dez's ego has brought him to this.

dez decided to confront a situation like this, instead of walking away shows his "pride". He has a job making millions and millions of dollars in the public spotlight, yet can't swallow his "pride" to avoid a personal conflict; this is indicative of his ego.

Someone with a big ego wants to make sure that other people don't get ahead of them in anyway shape or form, so they're constantly on the defensive.

Even if the woman was aggravating him to the extreme, he should be level headed enough to analyze the situation and walk away no matter what, especially given his previous situations and trying to improve his public image.

I don't think he has an ego.

I think he has dog **** for life skills.

Unfortunately, that will bring about trouble and trouble leads to bench time.

It's sad that this is likely what it would take for you to change your position at all regarding the guys history of behavior.

so tell me - what did he do to cause all this?

if you can't answer that, then how can you say you know the history of ****?

his last 'arrest' was a non-issue only brought up cause you need a crutch.

I was where you and Fuzzy are back in the "let's perpetually roast TO" days. Have fun with it. Thanks to TO, we now have the popcorn smilie as a mainstay on CZ. Let's see what type of smilie Dez creates. :p:

Umm, i don't think I said much on TO. I told people to chill out about his suicide thing but once I heard about his accusations of Romo being racist I decided he was scum.

TO never got arrested so it's really apples and oranges. TO was far more sinister than Dez. Dez just strikes me as dumb.

I just remember him getting himself so worked up on the sidelines that he was uncommunicative.

Getting mad and telling security guards to piss off and screaming matches at mall restaurants are typically unwanted behavior.

Don't get me wrong I think stoicism is just as bad and I think that Witten's notion of leadership as everyone being quiet is counterproductive but who am I say when it comes down to it.

Perhaps the standard 'too' was too strong?

no - he is immature. but i have no idea if or how long it will take him to "grow up". i do know it's even harder for him cause hell, how long is this post?

and no one can tell me what he did to cause it all.

yet here we are.

Cause what?

So now we have to be a fly on the wall of his home during the dispute to comment?

Please.

We know the history because it was reported......many times.

Hell, theres a screen cap floating around somewhere of the 4 newsworthy things he's had fall in his lap in the last year alone.

You're right. My terms are don't get arrested for Domestic Violence.

What an impossibly high standard to place onto others.

Quick question, all of those things listed......and lets throw the NCAA suspension in there as well. Those are all examples of strong decision making?

So what really happened? Was he arrested? or did he turn himself in? How do you get arrested on a misdemeanor?

Guilty of idiocy for sure.

Pretty simple, don't put yourself into compromising situations......time and time again.

Question from above still stands.

no.

to this day he's made fun of for baggy pants.
fact: they were not his pants.

slow to pay for gaudy jewlery.
fact: remorse hits us all in different ways. :) if you ever want to see dez be young and silly, this would be it. taste in jewlery not a crime, but banking on future nfl money kinda stupid and along the lines what what i've read about him.

he was in a kerfluffle. ie - questioned by police and that was it.

this incident - i've asked 5 times or more WHAT DID DEZ DO?

not one reply.

but a lot of hate.

if dez messes up i'll help him pack and get the hell out of dodge.

but i refuse to let our media today tell me what is going on.

so again to all those saying this shows how bad a person dez is...

...what did he do?

True but taking "everything" into account it is a bit concerning IMO, for example:

First he was suspended for the year in collage. (fact)

Then many teams passed on him - got to be a reason - no? And I don't know if it was just the suspension thing either - you know these teams hire private investigators when character issues are involved.(speculation)/(fact -teams passed on him)

Then the jewelry thing - I would think he has an accountant that advises him to pay his bills. And I don't know if "slow to pay" is really correct - the guy was being sued. (fact)

Then you had the mall thing, where maybe he "didn't do anything" but it still resulted in him being banned from that mall for a while (fact), not for nothin but usually malls want rich athletes money.

Then there were the reports that he's fallen asleep at team meetings and was locked out by jason for being late.

And now - tho we don't know all the details - we do know in fact he was arrested.

All that taken together - especially cause of his background(character issues) does send up a bit of a red flag IMO.

Now that doesn't mean he's gonna be another Pac-man but I really can't blame ppl for being concerned.
