What constant trouble? Wearing pants to low? Owing some money on jewellry....which was paid.....

The kid has never been arrested .....he had a upbringing that most here couldn't even understand........and all of a sudden he has a incident with his Mom that is a known drug addict and we jump all over Dez ......trade him...cut him.....Jerry is a idiot...etc........Really?

I really wonder if some here really live up to their so called standards.....I wonder if people realize the struggles being brought up in poverty....In a broken home.....etc

Dez made a mistake here......that's all.....but to some....it's like he committed murder.

It's dumb to judge someone unless you walked in their shoes.

The overreaction on this board drives me crazy sometimes......it's like this board is full of professional football men and Saints.....

I get a kick out of these variations of "I didn't get the Millineum Falcon for my 8th birthday, so what? A lot of us had bad childhoods" posts, as if they're in any way comparable to Dez Bryant's background. Jason Witten is not comparable. Jason Witten was raised by his grandparents, and his grandfather was the high school football coach and basically the de facto father figure of his hometown. He was raised with a very defined sense of structure.


Dez was born to a 15 crack dealer who by her own accord "exposed him to a lot of bad things". When she went to prison he went to "live" with his father who was by some reports a pimp. She got out of jail and kick him out of his home again when he was a teenager to go live on the streets. He later went on to live with a girlfriend when he was 17, and by reports of his high school coach that was the first time he ever had any structure or rules to live by.


A lot of people are assuming that Dez put himself in this situation and put himself in potential for trouble, but it's quite likely that the "situation" came looking for him.

Yes, the NCAA kicked him out of football his final year. I know you're trying to play "gotcha", but the NCAA did it so that morality-less program wouldn't have to. Doesn't matter who, he got kicked off his college team.

This is the same school that had Dexter Manley for four years, and he couldn't read.

it was only his final year because he went to the draft. he could have gone back to collegeand played again if he wanted. he did not get kicked off his college team, and continually trying to claim he did is absolutely moronic

This ain't a daycare program. The Cowboys are not supposed to be a home for wayward souls or a sympathy farm. It's not supposed to be a soap opera.

It's a football TEAM, and a revenue-generating business that draws fans looking for an escape and a hobby away from life's everyday challenges.

I hate this kind of stuff and these kinds of players because everything is ALWAYS about them. Drama, drama, drama. Dez, Dez, Dez. He ends up being all this team is about half the time because he's a childish imbecile.

Dez had a verbal altercation at nightclub......that is all.....no charges.......Dez paid his bill.....again....nothing there........and as of right now we don't know what happened with Dez Mom

At this point, I don't need to know what happened. This didn't happen to Demarcus Ware. THAT would be a first, and a shock. This happened to Dez, and face it, not one of us is shocked. Deep down, we all knew this kind of stuff would creep up, and will again.

I was actually shocked to read it and never thought stuff like this would creep up. He actually seems like he is going in the right direction. I still don't know what to make of this whole situation but the facts all lean toward his direction of not being such a bad guy.
