yeah... but he hit her with his hat...it's not like he went chris brown on her

she said he repeatedly struck her wrists and hands

Didn't the bruises only show up 2 or so days later? Could've easily been self-inflicted.

I just realized that each of Dez's "troubles" has gotten worse. Started off with unpaid jewelry and getting kicked out of a mall, then an altercation at a club, and now assault.

Maybe its the girl in me, but I do have a soft spot for Dez because of what I've read about him growing up. But you know, Jason Witten didnt have the smoothest upbringing either and he turned out okay. Many people have ****ty childhoods and as adults turn out fine. NO EXCUSES.

Dez doesnt seem to grasp how he could lose everything if he allows himself in bad situations and surrounds himself with bad influences. And what is Dez without football?

A future resident of Huntsville state prison?

yeah. they saw no visible injuries at the time besides a torn shirt.

no one knows the story, but I never thought Dez came off as a violent and abusive person.

This is a great point. Jason Witten came from a tough background, too.

Now compare Witten to Dez.

Wow.

Police did not immediately arrest Bryant because police saw no evidence of the assault. Evidence of the injuries, however, surfaced a day or two later, said DeSoto police Capt. Ron Smith during a news conference Tuesday morning.
Those injuries, the affidavit states, included swelling to the woman's wrists and around her left thumb and bruising on her upper arms. Angela Bryant also complained of pain in her wrists, hands and arms and soreness in her chest from her son pushing her, the affidavit states.

Have you ever had a crazy, crackhead, prostitute mother? If not, don't judge him. I'm not saying he should've done it. But, I can understand why he did.

has he admitted to doing it???

Sounds like he was just trying to restrain her, maybe she was going bat crazy and holding her wrists was the only way to calm her down.

No, he was pulling her hair and hitting her with his hat, from what the reports say. The 911 tape made it sound like this is a common occurrence.

I get a kick out of these variations of "I didn't get the Millineum Falcon for my 8th birthday, so what? A lot of us had bad childhoods" posts, as if they're in any way comparable to Dez Bryant's background. Jason Witten is not comparable. Jason Witten was raised by his grandparents, and his grandfather was the high school football coach and basically the de facto father figure of his hometown. He was raised with a very defined sense of structure and rules. Dez was born to a 15 crack dealer who by her own accord "exposed him to a lot of bad things". When she went to prison he went to "live" with his father who was by some reports a pimp. She got out of jail and kick him out of his home again when he was a teenager to go live on the streets. He later went on to live with a girlfriend and her parents when he was 17, and according to his high school coach that was the first time he ever had any structure or rules to live by. No, they're not comparable.

A lot of people are assuming that Dez put himself in this situation and put himself in potential for trouble, but it's quite likely that the "situation" came looking for him.

I don't understand the hate.....

What constant trouble? Wearing pants to low? Owing some money on jewellry....which was paid.....

The kid has never been arrested .....he had a upbringing that most here couldn't even understand........and all of a sudden he has a incident with his Mom that is a known drug addict and we jump all over Dez ......trade him...cut him.....Jerry is a idiot...etc........Really?

I really wonder if some here really live up to their so called standards.....I wonder if people realize the struggles being brought up in poverty....In a broken home.....etc

Dez made a mistake here......that's all.....but to some....it's like he committed murder.

It's dumb to judge someone unless you walked in their shoes.

The overreaction on this board drives me crazy sometimes......it's like this board is full of professional football men and Saints.....

Sorry for the Rant.....

are you still claiming he was kicked off the team at Ok St??

Yes, the NCAA kicked him out of football his final year. I know you're trying to play "gotcha", but the NCAA did it so that morality-less program wouldn't have to. Doesn't matter who, he got kicked off his college team.

This is the same school that had Dexter Manley for four years, and he couldn't read.
