You should be MUCH more concerned about our coaching staff having no clue how to gameplan for a floundering bad team...

I almost wonder if they even take into consideration who the opponent is.

It just seems as if they have this "line up and execute and it will take care of itself". Sometimes you actually have to work to create mismatches, not just line up a big TE and expect them to be there.

Well, in all fairness, I don't think the game plan included a bunch of dumb penalties, dropped passes, missed tackles, and our LB getting juked out his socks by Ponder.

I find myself defending Dez all the time too- mainly because I feel the kid has come so far and is trying to do right....so I am certainly including myself in this: I get the feeling that a lot of us will defend Dez over absolutely anything these days. If this penalty happened to Dwayne Harris, would we be defending him? I don't know if I would or not. You?

It wouldn't even be mentioned. That's the problem. You have some fans that just don't like Dez and wait for something small to make it a big deal

That qualifies as Dumb A** #1. I'm afraid to ask what else he doesn't know. It's a shame to see Romo continue to lose his confidence in Dez. He's not helping the team at all the last few games. He's become more of a problem than a solution.

What??? Lose his confidence??? Huh?? No facts to backup that lame *** statement. SMH at this fan base seriously unreal

He should know the rule. Isn't Emmitt the reason for that rule to begin with?

I know you are being "cute and convenient" but really...? That is not what you saw? All fans must play a lick of football, etc. joking, but really...not futuristic physics going on...I know, I have my resume ready :) I know you hate me but in the business ideal; this is NEEDED FOR PROGRESS!

Very right; hate to say it...Love Dez and what he represents...I respect young men with unfair circumstances trying to do right by their own perseverance. Love DEZ and hate that his mother tried to use his money to flip coke/crack...he is in an unfortunate circumstance that I can relate to in terms of family members taking advantage of newly found income... This line of thinking makes me defend him too a point of diffused cognizance and kind have gave him untrusted principles that I only HOPE he desires as well; working the farm and taking care of your family in the process...

+1 BigStar for pointing out that ALL of us have our personal biases of one sort or another that bubble up here in our discussions in CZ. I know I have to fight hard to keep my in check...

On long threads that last days I occasionally go back and see my earlier posts and wonder to myself "Man, I must have been having a bad day that morning OR that response of mine doesn't even reflect my true feelings -- I must have been feeling contrarian that day".... etc

What concerns me about Dez is he's in denial about his anger issues. He claims he wasn't angry last week that it was passion but what went down between him and Witten was clearly anger and he now he claims he wasn't angry with the official yesterday. If he doesn't learn to calm down and control his temper it could lead to another off the field incident. I like Dez but he still has some maturing to do. It's things like this that cause him to lose his focus which leads to drops and him not playing well.

oh good god. he's come a VERY long way and people still wanna bag on him cause they refuse to let go of their hate-blankie.

Dez's continued tantrums COST THE TEAM POINTS yesterday. Yes, he has come a long way, but yes, he has a *long* way still to go.

If anyone is using a blankie it is the thumbsucking whelps who continue to make excuses for this guy. If you don't acknowledge your error, you will continue to make it. Melting down on the sidelines and now on the field is a back to back reminder that his maturity issues remain a work in progress.

"I wasn't angry with the refs" - come ON who is buying this manure pie? Of COURSE he was angry - if we quit coddling him and make him own up to his behavior it will go a ways toward helping him change it.

Two weeks in a row, no accountability for his actions, just demurral and the belief we're dumb enough to buy into the story being peddled. Wasn't angry... I was born at night but it wasn't last night.

Maybe someone should sit down with Dez& explain some basic football rules to him. Like a coach. You know those guys that get paid to instruct these guys.

Enablers half a way of explaining away bad behavior. C'mon Ice Slushy, you can support Dez without becoming an enabler. You can take the thug out of thugsville but you can't take the thugsville out of the thug. Face it. Dez grew up being . . . difficult . . . and he happens to be football talented. That's all. Take away his talent and he's just another guy demanding change from people in downtown Dallas.
