Competely agree. Dez is a freak and can outmuscle those S and even a lot of LBs across the middle after the catch. He has a perfect frame for the slant. And the skill set/talent.That slant number needs to be WAY up!

Here's a few more for comparison sake:
Slant, cross, and screen.
Dez is a playmaker.. Get the ball in his hands.
8 TD's in the most basic offense ever. He could be scoring a TD every week if he had a decent scheme to play in.
I was looking at that too, but since the Cowboys offense (and by extension the route Dez runs) is predicated on the defense, I'd imagine corners often times line up across from Dez with inside leverage to take that away, since that's one of the easier hook ups between a QB and WR. In other words, a good opportunity to run the slant likely rarely presented itself. That slant number needs to be WAY up!
Blows my mind this isnt obvious?
You have to realize we have a mickey mouse coaching staff. The same staff that likes to change up the identity of the team going into the playoffs. It's ridiculous. They did that in 2007 and now in 2016. The common denominator of both is Garrett. OC in 2007 and HC in 2016. We don't ever try and scheme to beat the other team and take advantage of their weaknesses. We allow the defense to dictate what we do and if they take away what we want, we just go crawl in a hole and wither away. Adjustments are not their strong suit at all. Our offense is all about our guys winning their battles with the other guys. That's it. They don't ever try and put their players in the best positions to exploit the other team. Garrett needs a top QB/RB duo that is at the very top of efficiency to even have a winning record.
Yep, "that guy' is brilliant!I like that guy's work.

While his most success is on the Go and Curl, this list shows that O. M. G. he can run more than one or two routes. Remember, this was only a 13 game season for our #1.
Dez. Beast.
"Like" for being sorry about being the Dez negative-nelly, XTo compare how many routes a WR can run, I would pick a percentage based on overall catch percentage and only count the routes above that percentage.
I think most good WRs average somewhere around 60% overall catch rate. I might lower the number on GO routes to something like 45%.
Based on that:
Beckham: 8 routes
Brown: 9 routes
Green: 9 routes
Dez: 4 routes
Sorry Trouty, I'm tired to being the Dez negative-nelly, but that's how I see the data.
Obviously the data is only for 1 season, so it could be drastically different if career numbers were included.
