Like I said in another post - some of you are as soft as our defense - marshmellows. Michael Irvin did the same thing SEVERAL times in his career - remember?

It's not the best behavior in the world, but it is refreshing as hell to see after watching the rest of these robots the past several years.

Hit the nail on the head with this one. Irvin was full of passion and i saw some of tht on the sideline with dez tonight. Refreshing to see. Glad someone had the cajones to call out the entire team. Dez just did on the sideline what we all were doing at home. Garrett should take notes

Being passionate doesn't mean you have rant and rave. I'm sure they'd have real productive sideline meetings with all 11 offensive players sitting there yelling about how each other isn't doing their job.

Dez isn't going to change anything by firing off on everyone in sight on the sidelines. Anyone think he's going to change the way Garrett does things at all? Is Callahan going to do anything differently up in the booth because of Dez storming up and down the sidelines? Is Romo going to deliberately try to appease Dez even though it may not be in the best interest of the team?

Doubt it. He isn't changing anything or setting some sort of great example. He's being a loose cannon and in all likelihood he's probably pissing people off.

Your hyperbole notwithstanding, Hoof I agree, but something has to get through. Obviously you would not want him doing this every Sunday, but somebody has to say that this crap is unacceptable. The let's be all calm buddies mentality surely ain't cutting it. It isn't just about today's game. This is a pattern that has persisted for too damn long! Maybe if enough people have their pride or perceptions stepped on they will shake loose from the stupor of mediocrity that infects this team. He's trying to say something Hoof, things that many on this board wish that they could say. You are right, it probably won't get through to some of the people it "might" be indirectly aimed at but how many more vomit-inducing games like the last one will we have to suffer through under Garrett? We all get pumped up and ready to believe that this team will turn a corner, beat relevant teams and deliver on promises that seem so antiquated they predate even The Triplets. Sadly, we are confronted with the bitter reality that mediocrity and the Cowboys are synonymously and fatefully conjoined with a bond so tight that nuclear fission could not tear it asunder.

We lost off of that play because of the penalty. The play call was reasonable. Taking a knee there would also have been permissible. The goal there, 3rd and over 10, is to make sure you kill 40 seconds of clock on that play.

Passion is a good and necessary thing. Dez wasn't showing passion on the sidelines today. He was showing petulance. If we were at 3rd and 5, then fling that ball try and win the game right there, but there's just not many 15 yard guaranteed plays in the bag, and most of them could end up burning zero clock.

The playcall was not reasonable. You don't run the runningbacks outside where they might run out of bounds or stripped of the ball. Worst yet, you get a penalty, which happened. You take a knee and let the clock run out. Or you run it up the middle. Thats smart coaching which was obvious we didn't have.

Preach, Dez. Sounding like an offensive Ray Lewis. Glad someone is playing with some fire and isn't just "disappointed" with losing a game the way we lost it.

Dez hasn't thrown a tantrum all year. Guess why he kept doing it today? I'll tell you - because he wanted to outplay Megatron.

Dez was a selfish bunghole today

Yeah he saw a QB throw to his #1 WR and had the nerve to want the same from his QB, how dare Dez want to outplay his competition when he should just sit back and be content like the rest of our team. SMH

I don't know what happened to Garrett's offensive approach to games now. I remember during the 2007 season, Troy was calling one of the cowboys games and kept saying that Garrett told him that his offensive philosophy was to be very aggressive on every single series, even if they were way ahead. Well, that's exactly what we did that year, score lots of points. Now???

It's different when his HC job's online instead of Wade's .

Gotta agree with Dez.....or continue to play passion-less football and continue to lose every year!!!
