Who cares. We all know who Dez is by now and we all know that crap like this will come along from time to time with him.

We all thought after a couple years this crap would pass and he would grow up. He'll be 28 years old in 2 months and we're still having to deal with this crap. This doesn't happen with any other player on the team but him.

You guys gotta pick and choose your battles better..

If anything.. Waiting longer for the MRI was a good thing considering the 9ers still don't know what's going on. We don't even know if he is playing. I would guess he doesn't.

Seriously can't believe this is getting more national attention that OBJ's temper tantrum and "I don't remember" press conference

Seriously. It's crazy. Dez is a lightening rod. One guy misses a doctor's appointment, the other is caught on camera getting hit in the head by a kicking net while throwing a tantrum and is petulant about it afterwards. These aren't equivalent stories.

Idgit, nobody could find him for almost three days. They had no clue where he was.

Media here is still speculating he spent those days with Jay-Z and 50-cent, who were in town.

I do hate it when these things happen. Not because these issues themselves are a big deal, but because everybody overreacts to it as if it were a big deal, works themselves into frenzy, and then settles down again as if the overreactions were warranted.

People like to be "up in arms". So if they can manufacture a reason to get wound up, consider it done.

And just so no one gets it twisted- I'm not condoning Dez's actions, or defending him.

All I'm saying is, we are now beyond beating a dead horse. It wasn't that big of a deal to start with. Team dealt with it. Let's move on. There's already one enormous thread about this with a ton of posts in it. I guess we'll just see how much we can beat this dead horse into oblivion?

Federal crime? Of course not. But to turn your phone off and disappear because you are scared of the real world, that's pretty immature. If you don't see why people have an issue with this, especially seeing his track record, then I can't do much. It's a growing concern with him. He says all the right things but never actually takes action and puts those words into something real.

Scared of the real world? haha that's a new one. He loves the game of football and it killed him to be on the sidelines last year. And he thought there was a possibility of that happening again. Can you blame him for being reluctant to find out potentially bad news? I understand the right thing to do would've been to just show up when he was supposed to. But to get all worked up about this in nonsense. Dez Bryant has to be the most polarizing non-drug using, non-criminal athlete of all-time.

I'm sorry but I'm ready for the Dez era to be over. Wish we'd hear more about on the field news then off the field for him.

It's only a big deal because it's Dez, and because fans and the local media didn't like the way the news trickled out in this case. Media thought they were being handled, and the fans are constantly looking for something to bite, anyway. As far as the team goes, this is going to be another non-issue that will be forgotten about by this time next week.

I do hate it when these things happen. Not because these issues themselves are a big deal, but because everybody overreacts to it as if it were a big deal, works themselves into frenzy, and then settles down again as if the overreactions were warranted. An immature superstar didn't handle injury news well and created a minor stir which led to him missing a meeting and getting fine. Small. Potatoes.

He missed his scheduled MRI and treatment on Monday. He missed team activities and meetings on Tuesday. He missed other meetings Wednesday.

Then he comes out and says it was because he was scared and apparently his employer couldn't even get ahold of him an entire day because he left his phone off.

That's kind of more than nothing if you ask me. The main problem I have with that is you missed half a week when the rest of your teammates and coaches are putting in the normal work. It's disrespectful to the guys who are going out there fighting along side you each week and as a veteran, and one of the best players in the team..it's unacceptable.

It might have been nothing if this was still his first year..but at some point you have to grow up. Niw, it's not the end of the world as some of the Dallas beat writers would want you to think, but it sure doesn't foster the right attitude in the locker room.

My phone died....so I didn't show up for work for three days.

That's not what he was saying. He was saying this is why he didn't contact anyone, his phone died and he didn't bother to recharge it because he wanted to be left alone. The most you could do, and I know you struggle with this, is actually understand his point.

So Dez is a lighting rod through no fault of him one?

I don't think my boss would bye this argument.

Should have smashed his phone with a hammer like Tom Brady or Hillary Clinton

What argument? You guys continue to think Dez is trying to get out of this, he's not. He's being completely honest. He is straight up saying, and it's pretty clear, he didn't want to talk to anyone.

Where is the excuses he's making? From the start, he's been upfront as to why he didn't show up. And what your boss "buys" is irrelevant. You don't play in the NFL.

The bottom line is we are stuck with dez, so I really dont care if he misses meetings or is hurt and misses games, the main thing
is when he does play he makes a difference , and makes some catches.
I dont want him to be a decoy, so they have to get him the ball, and he has to make the catches.

If dak is told to throw to him, and he doesnt make the catches, then those are wasted plays.

Not really what he was saying either.

It's more about mole hills being made into mountains by a fan base. I, personally, didn't find the OBJ thing to be a big deal either. His fist fighting last year was a big deal though.

I am not sure in what world a employer not being able to find their employee for almost three days is not a problem.

I mean, it's been one thing after another his entire tenure here. Not sure if we will ever 'move on' until he actually grows up. How he handled this week was the complete opposite of what he told us in training camp on how his attitude was.
I must be getting old because my memory keeps failing me.
When fans say it's been one thing after another since Dez has been here, what are they referencing?
Please be so kind to help my aging brain remember what Dez has done that angers you fans with better memories.
