Cowboys star Dez Bryant goes on tirade directed at reporters

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant left the locker room Thursday during the open media access after a prolonged rant aimed at reporters.

Initially, Bryant was upset about a story written last week by ESPN's Jean-Jacques Taylor. The two exchanged words before wide receiverDevin Street attempted to get involved. Street then claimed Taylor used a racial epithet.

Taylor, who is black, denied using the slur. Three others present in the locker room confirmed that Taylor did not use a racial epithet.

Part of the exchange was reported on Twitter by Robert Klemko of The MMQB.

Is this a continuation of when Dez blew up at reports after the Seahawks loss?

Is this the new norm for Dez?

Cowboys lose a game and he blows up in the media?

For an ultra-competitor like Dez, this season is tearing him up. I don't think this will be the new norm, I just think between the losing, his being injured for five weeks, and the other negative vibes around the Cowboys (Greg Hardy), things are boiling over for Bryant.

If that is true I have no reason to even be upset at dez.

Question is has Dez demonstrated the same dislike when players have used the same racial slur? Somehow I doubt it, so it really boils down to PC police getting offended.

Why Cowboys WR Dez Bryant launched profanity-filled tirade in locker room

Dez Bryant's long-running feud with the media boiled over Thursday with a profanity-laced tirade in the Cowboys locker room.

Bryant's anger was directed at reporters for what he considers to be unfair treatment of him and the team and was so loud at one point that tight end Jason Witten, who was conducting interviews, excused himself to break away and try to calm the situation. Bryant then began yelling at Rich Dalrymple, the Cowboys senior vice president of public relations, saying if he did his job none of this would happen and if he didn't do his job he would take to Twitter to get his side out.

Jason Garrett then walked in and he and Bryant went outside the locker room to talk. Bryant came back several minutes later with a smile on his face and turned his music up as loud as he could.

Later, Bryant tweeted that the explosion was due in part to a reporter calling his teammate, Devin Street, the N-word. Street inserted himself into the conversation between Bryant and ESPN reporter Jean-Jacques Taylor, who is African-American. Taylor said he never used that word and those who were close to the episode, including club officials, said the word was never used.

So Devin Street falsely accused a reported of using the n-word?

Does it get more despicable than that?

Sure if you choose to believe that idiot JTT.

Todd Archer reported "JJT said "he never used that word and those who were close to the episode, including club officials, said the word was never used".

Never mind, I'm sure Todd Archer is part of the anti-Dez global conspiracy as well.

So Dez was already upset and yelling about the media and Street went ahead and told him JJT said a racial slur? If I understood that correctly Street is the biggest idiot ever stirring the pot knowing Dez was already angry at JJT. If Dez knows that the local media just wants a story why is he going off and giving them one? I get all the players are frustrated but Dez needs to get it together. This isn't his first year in Dallas he should know better then to feed the media.

no way we will ever know the truth of who said what, especially if it involves the use of a word banned from society but used quite often within the race itself.

Not making any PC statement, just a tell it like it is observation...
