This is perhaps the most "pick your poison" offense in the league when healthy. Even more so than Denver.

We might have a better balanced attack due to our run game but the QB and receiving corp for Denver is better than ours.

He is way down in terms of yards per catch. We don't need to lead the league in receiving yards, but we do need to focus more on opening up our passing game. We're not going to beat a lot of good teams with what we're doing right now.

uh... why not?

When a team runs the ball well the other offensive players stats will go down. Not enough balls or plays.

Right now Terrance Williams is ranked 50th in the league in yards per game. The reality is, that isn't good enough.

We need him to take the top off the defense and have Romo start testing the field more.
considering romo had a bad day game 1 and the amount of running the ball we have done - why would he be ranked high in yards per game

Yep. And Witten is playing better ball than he's played in years. He's quite possibly been our best blocker dating all the way back to the first preseason game. And he's still a big receiving threat.

The comments by Dez are something special. he wants the ball, but he wants to win and will root for his teammates when they foolishly single up TWill.

This is a maturity the league didn't suspect. Jerry took a chance with all the rumors and crap about Dez-wan.

I whine about Jerry but this was a great pick.

Guy wants to win bad!

He is down (16.7 in 2013 to 12.8 this year), but he's only got 14 catches so far, and four of those are TD grabs. He had 5 touches all of last year. I think it's safe to say we'd take a 16 touchdown season if it meant the end zone was cutting yardage off his YPC about 25% of the time, don't you?

I'm more concerned with his lack of production, especially when you consider the random nature of TDs. His numbers are just coming from the rest of the team, but his lower production compared to the increased responsibility is troubling.

What increase in responsibility?

It's just a term. The point is he hit a wall in the second half of the season if you would like to be more literal.

In the first half of the season he had 26 receptions for 444 yards and 4 touchdowns.

In the second half of the season he has 18 receptions for 292 yards and 1 td.

So far through 4 games however he is on pace for a half season that looks like

28 receptions, 358 yards, 8 tds

the touchdowns look impressive, but we still need a lot more from him in terms of yards and receptions. Hopefully with Romo getting healthier we see that from him.

Williams should get about 100-120 targets for the season. Right now he is only on pace for 80... It's not enough.

Ohhh..... so he hit the rookie wall! Is that the term you were looking for!:)

Uh no.....not even close.

The only thing we have over Denver, Is a Better WR Dez vs Their Wr's(DT is super close though)

And a better RB, by a mile.

They have way more weapons, and a hall of fame QB. More Weapons+Better QB. Wins Every time

But we are deadly.

So we have a better receiver and RB and they still have more weapons? I give you QB what but what else?

I think as Romo gets healthier we will. I'm scared to death we get away from the run game though.

Good point. I can picture T.O. handling this situation differently.
