Uh no.....not even close.

The only thing we have over Denver, Is a Better WR Dez vs Their Wr's(DT is super close though)

And a better RB, by a mile.

They have way more weapons, and a hall of fame QB. More Weapons+Better QB. Wins Every time

But we are deadly.

What weapons?

I think he does not get a lot of props when he was at Baylor. That program has come a long way

Terrance Williams had a bit of a sophomore slump last year, that is why people haven't started taking him seriously yet.

Romo and Williams have also failed to connect a few times in key situations, of which I blame Williams quite a bit given that he still likes to body catch balls.

Williams has a great opportunity this year to slash teams who want to focus on the running game and Bryant. I said early in the offseason that the key to our success on offense is mainly about what Williams is capable of doing this year. Imagine if teams start focusing on Williams. This will result in huge opportunities for Escobar and Beasley.

So right now we're in a phase where teams either don't fear Williams enough or fear him, but understandably can't game plan against him without giving away the whole field.

Sophmore slump last year????? T-Will was a rookie last year.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this offense is STACKED.. There's no reason why it can't be a Top 5 Offense with all the weapons we have. Keep our offensive attack balanced with a slight lean more towards the run, limit turnovers to 1 or none per game, and we can put up 30 on just about anybody....

Beasley, Harris,Street waiting.

We're not going to beat a lot of good teams with what we're doing right now.

What??? what games you watching? this is exactly how we can beat good teams run the ball, control the clock, play defense, keep getting turnovers and get stops on 3rd down like they are doing so far way better than last year and Tony dont need to be Tony untill he needs too, instead of Romo having to be Romo every game all game long which increases his chance of mistakes in a 16 game season as tough as this league is... If opposing teams offense not on the field what can they do? Hope for Romo to mess up thats it and Rolando McClain changes this defense to me in a very good way

What weapons?

Thomas, Welker, Sanders, J.Thomas, Ball

Manning.

While Dez has the edge, over DT it's not by much. More like a 9.5 Rating vs a 9.3

Welker vs Cole? Not even close. Welker by a mile

Sanders vs Williams? Williams has work to do, it's not close either.

J.Thomas vs Witten? Witten can get you the 1st down's and do things that vets do, but from a skill stand point, and play making, Thomas by a mile.

Ball vs Murray? Murray all the way

Peyton vs Romo? I mean really? Romo is good....Peyton is great. The gap is closed a little due to our O-Line, and Linehan.

Overall they are the better team.

If we lose 1 of our stars we are in bad shape. We lose Murray, we can maybe still get decent production, due to the O-Line, and Dez attention. Still won't exactly be the same, but we can get by.

We lose Dez? Gameover....load the box, and that's all she wrote.

Sorry I can't say the same for Denver, DT goes, or Welker, or Sanders, or JT(I'm talking if only 1 goes down) they can still make it happen.

IRVING, Texas – Part of being a leader is sticking up for your teammates, especially if they’re disrespected.

In this case, Dez Bryant hopes it continues.

In his eyes, if teams continue to play single coverage on Terrance Williams – opposite of Bryant – what we saw Sunday night will be a weekly occurrence.

If he’s singled, you have to take advantage of it,” Bryant said Tuesday at Valley Ranch. “That’s exactly what he’s doing. I think T-Dub (Williams) is doing a terrific job of that. I’m loving every bit of that because it’s just making my job that much easier.

“The more they disrespect him they more he’ll dominate. That’s what it is.”

And that’s what it was Sunday night against the Saints. Williams not only scored two touchdowns in the 38-17 win over New Orleans, but the second-year receiver from Baylor caught six passes on seven targets for 77 yards. On the opening drive, Williams had a pair of catches to set the tone for the Cowboys’ offense, which drove the ball 80 yards with Tony Romo completing seven passes and none to Bryant.

“That’s just the attitude we have with the wideouts,” Bryant said. “If we get the opportunity, we’re going to dominate. We want to be the upper echelon. We want to be the backbone of making plays.”

And Bryant knows that while he might see his share of double-teams now, the more plays Williams can make, orJason Witten, Cole Beasley,Dwayne Harris and anyone, defenses will have no choice but to back off some for Bryant.

Through four games, Bryant leads the Cowboys in both catches (23) and receiving yards (291) but has three touchdowns, one behind Williams, who has four, one short of his 16-game total as a rookie last year.

Was really glad to see Dez say this, it is not all about him and he has to have the ball. Dez wants to win more than put up numbers

And the offensive lines?

Offensive line or Not.

Let Dez go down, Romo can have all the time he wants it won't matter. Teams will load vs Murray, then what?

Kill teams to death with Cole, and his 5 yard out's? Williams and his body Catches? Who's just now learning to try to catch with his hands, but still looks awkward. Witten? Street, and Harris?

Dez is saying the right things. The unfortunate timing for Dez is this was essentially his contract year and there is a very good chance, as the offense is currently constructed, he ends up somewhere in 15-20 range in terms of WR yardage & receptions. It <will> have some sort of impact on what his contract will look like.

I don't think it will have a big effect on him getting a very good contract, it is not jus the numbers alone and I think Cowboys know what the defense is doing in terms of covering Dez and what the results are for others that they are doing this. I also think Dez will get his before all is said and done

Dez is a competitor. He just wants to win. He wants his teammates to get the ball at his expense . . . oh, hail, he is just talking.

so now he nos he will never get his 2,000-yard season so he say, he say to opponents, "key on me and Murray will burn you!" Then he say, he say "Hey, if you single coverage Williams (and not me) he will make you pay!

Next week it will be, he will say: "Key on me and Witten will get 300 yards!"

Just shut up and play good, Dez. You werre not hired to talk though you are eloquent and stuff (no, he is not). Concentrate on yer own play and become the primary receiver you are paid to be without using murray or williams as stalking horses.

(damn, I am good)

I not sold on Denver. Manning gets a free pass for choking in postseason. Btw,Welker is on downslide of career,

It's just a term. The point is he hit a wall in the second half of the season if you would like to be more literal.

In the first half of the season he had 26 receptions for 444 yards and 4 touchdowns.

In the second half of the season he has 18 receptions for 292 yards and 1 td.

So far through 4 games however he is on pace for a half season that looks like

28 receptions, 358 yards, 8 tds

the touchdowns look impressive, but we still need a lot more from him in terms of yards and receptions. Hopefully with Romo getting healthier we see that from him.

Williams should get about 100-120 targets for the season. Right now he is only on pace for 80... It's not enough.

Ahhh didn't see this before...I believe some of his 'slump' had to do with Dez picking up steam in the second half of the season. As I recall Dez came on stronger the second half.

He is way down in terms of yards per catch. We don't need to lead the league in receiving yards, but we do need to focus more on opening up our passing game. We're not going to beat a lot of good teams with what we're doing right now.

Hmmmm...interesting take.

A dominate run game, that controls the clock, isn't going to beat a lot of good teams?

I guess the Seattle Seahawks of today, the Steelers during their day, and the Cowboys of the 90's should all be informed that they didn't beat too many good teams by being dominate in the run game.
