Twitter: Dez: I made a poor decision

I ain't buying any of this nonsense about Dez being AWOL Monday, Tuesday and part of Wednesday because he was afraid of an MRI test result. The team didn't even know where he was for a couple of days and couldn't communicate with him. No way. In my opinion, this is some made up garbage by Dez and the team to cover up whatever actually happened.
Or maybe, we give him the benefit of the doubt considering hes never done anything like this before? After last season he was probably petrified of getting results of a test. He watched his team, his family basically lose almost every game from the sidelines. His passion for the game and his heart make me believe he was genuinely scared. having played at a high level and having returned from injury only to get injured again, i can understand that.

If he played for any other team, this wouldnt have made the news. The scary thing was yesterday the fans on this board ready to lynch him. he made a mistake, owned up to it, move on.

And you did have a stroke.

My fault was trying to rationalize with the irrational emotional babies on the forum.

You're the one that seems to need to keep stoking the fire in every Dez thread. Let it go already. You're like a girl arguing with a boyfriend trying to avoid an argument.....

And yet, here you are, in this thread arguing that you're not arguing.

Keep it up. Please, continue to try and rationalize your thought process from earlier. You're in that moment now, when you are embarrassed by things you said earlier after the calm.

"Meaningless yards" in a game of inches.

I'd fire a coach on the spot that told a player not to fight for "meaningless yards". Glad you're just a fan worrying about the jerseys you buy.

Emmitt Smith almost never took a big hit. He knew when a play was over and avoided unnecessary contact. Now he's the all-time leading rusher with three Super Bowl rings, so I think it worked out for him.

There is a difference between being elusive, which Emmitt was, and being in the grips of a defender and just dropping due to fear of injury. Smith DID NOT do what you say, he did not just drop to the ground once he was wrapped up.

Do not revise history to make some odd point. We are talking about fighting for yards here, not how elusive a player can be. Dez has, many times, fought and gain crucial yards.

That's the thing about being human...we keep making mistakes until we die.

You and I included.

Dude made a mistake, admitted he made a mistake and paid for it. It's old news.

He makes the same type of mistakes every year he doesn't learn from them. He's an emotional guy and allows his emotions to get the better of him. He reflects bad on the organization and the head coach.

Don't get your panties all ruffled up. You'll have more opportunities to make excuses. It's a long season.....

Just for anyone out there absurd enough to state Smith didn't take big hits and keep on trucking. And these are just the highlights. And there was nothing about a "big hit" on Dez, it was simply a defender going low to take out his legs and got a bad angle.

Players get injured in the NFL without anyone touching them at all.

Stuff happens.

This video showed Emmitt eluding big hits, juking people out of their shorts. He was a master.

Again, we are not talking about how elusive a player is. We are talking about players dropping on first contact and fighting for yards. Are you telling me, Smith, did not fight for yards in his day? You telling me he didn't fight for those "meaningless yards" - Him doing it better is not the point, he was an RB and that was his specialty.

But he took big hits, he fought for those tough yards, he broke tackles when most others would have went down. Anyone saying otherwise should get their eyes and head checked.

That play at 1:04 is a player refusing to go down. ALWAYS looking for the first down marker and the end zone. People think everyone should have the Deion mentality, the "business decision" on the field.

That's not good enough, Dez. i want to see you, bleed tears. Post a vine huddled up in a corner sobbing uncontrollably.
Exactly.

And add 50 butt-spanks just on general principle.

I know he went partying with Beyonce..

Wish I had.

;-))

I am not commenting on anything, I just found it funny watching the video that was to show ES taking big hits, was a video showing him jucking defenders out of their shorts.

He makes them look silly, I miss ES.
