Wait until Big Ben retires

Best 3 years
ABrown- 525 targets 35 TDs
JJones- 490 targets 24TDs
Dez- 430targets 41 TDs
I wish he would go ahead and get started on those stats...........he'd be a real hit in Pitt with his sideline antics.

I think the main problem with Dez is Dak can't throw a player open like Romo could, I think Dak would be better served not having a go to guy because he should be just taking what the defense gives him every play and using a strong running game if Dak is not pressured to throw to a #1 receiver he would concentrate more on just hitting the right guy on any given play.

hate seeing Dak forcing the ball to Dez, when Dez was injured Dak spread the ball around better, I think Dez whines about wanting the ball and becomes a distraction at times

I think lots of WR’s would have matched or surpassed those stats with the insane amount of targets he received.

Wanna talk career targets.

Dez has 909
Julio has 925.

Julio came into the league a year after dez.
Julio has 1500 more yards.
Dez has 30 more TDS.

Dez has had 1500 yard seasons before.
When’s the last time Julio had 30 TDS?

Wait what? That question makes no sense "When's the last time Julio had 30 TDs?" Judging by that standard, Julio has 0 and Dez has 0.

He’s had 3 bad seasons in a row but this last one he actually led the league in Drops, that’s a tough pill to swallow for one of his biggest fans....

Just wanted to remind people calling Dez a scrub, that Dez is the Dallas Cowboys all time TD leader for receiving.

Yes his last few years have less than ideal and yes his contract is pretty high but the guy still got 900 yards with Daks crappy season.

Let's continue to play him until he can't walk anymore and let's double his salary. We need to give him a gun to shoot DBs so he can get open. Oh and let's buy some ky jelly... oh nevermind.

In a Dez Fan Boi's mind Dez catches 50 TDs per year and there are comic books printed about him.

this is why he got paid..he was one of the best in that 3 year stretch and injuries are more to him falling off and somewhat losing his comfort with Romo gone..

No. He got paid because Jerry was weak. He was never worth his salary.

Dez has never had a 1500 yard season. In fact, he only broke 1000 3 times in his career.

Julio has had 5 1000+ yard seasons out of 7.

Put him in Green Bay, and he goes for 90 catches and 10+ TDs next year.

I'm not a huge Dez fan, but I know what he's good at.

That's your opinion. It may be accurate.

On the other hand, Dez could go to Green Bay and ***** and whine in Rodger's ear, run piss poor routes, lead the league in drops again, become a malcontent cancer and getting frozen out by Rodgers. Its all conjecture unless it happens.

I think we are getting a hell of a lot closer to figuring out how he will do somewhere else. His days may be numbered here. June 1 cut maybe.

You have to be REALLY good to warrant an insane amount of targets. There's a reason that scrub Butler never received many in Oak or here

That scrub had the best yards per target in the league, and still 65% catch rate. We blew it with Butler. Should have thrown to him more. Should have extended him. Now some other team is going to get a good WR for cheap.

Is there a stat for “drives killed” bc he has to be high up there the last 2 years.

Emmitt Smith has the most rushing yards ever but his time on the field has passed.

The time of Dez being worth the money has passed.

TWill and Butler had very good catch rates with the same QB that was throwing to Dez. Most of Butler's passes were deep which makes it even more impressive. Dez had a terrible catch rate which is not surprising considering we all saw him drops balls over and over.

Stats don’t lie but I would swear I don’t remember him catching that many td passes.

How many back shoulder throws did Romo hit Dez with in 2014 compared to Dak?

I think it's obvious what changed. He doesn't have a qb that throws to Dez strengths. With Dak he needs to get more separation and his flaws are more exposed. Coupled with the fact he has in fact lost a step.
