This is why it's so important to have quality depth at skill positions even more than at interior positions like DT, LB ect. You can game plan around weaknesses inside....you can't game plan around havin Street and T Will as your primary receiving targets.

Look at 2013 if you want to reference walk-on at DT and LB, with Kiufin coaching. We still achieved 8-8. Without Romo or Dez the O struggled to throw the football, resulting in 4-12.

what does the staff have to do with Dez needing a few minor surgeries? He was medically cleared to play, and this could be entirely different issues.

Pretty much this. I'm also finding it amusing and interesting that almost everyone was wanting Dez to come back as soon as he could and now it's he shouldn't have come back at all. Look it was a risk it didn't work. And as you said this season was over anyway so get whatever needs to be done now in preparation for next season.
