News: Dez on IR : needs surgery

My goodness, how many decisions are going to come back to bite the team on the butt this year?

Next year has to be better.

i attribute it to the dropped passes that had the audacity to hit his hands.

For real, I didn't know he was trying to catch footballs with his foot. He had some key drops this year that had nothing to do with his foot.

Get it done now, he wasn't gonna play anyway so not sure what all the whining in the thread is about. Oh I forgot it's the Zone, that's why.

Dez and Romo both risked their bodies to rush back early to try and save the season. Too bad they got no help from the morons running the team and their underachieving teammates, and so it turned out they just put off their healing and preparation for next season.

Kudos to those two warriors and speedy recovery.

There's still time to get out of his contract. Jettison Dez, bring in Megatron, sign Chris Ivory. You're welcome.

My God who is running this teams medical department and evaluating injuries/decisions? Dr. Nick?

You know football is just as much mental as physical, correct?

If he is mentally not trusting himself because he is playing injured, that could have an impact on every aspect of his play. I am down on Dez this year as well and have voiced my displeasure with some of his effort on this forum but I can see how everything will be related.

If it's a classic Lisfranc injury, Dez might never be the same.

Filled by WRs Vince Mayle and Rodney Smith from the practice squad. And former draft bust from a few years ago, CB Josh Thomas. Yes, that guy who got beat out by David Buehler in a foot race.

Actually, it was DeAngelo Smith who lost to The Buehler.

No, it's a Jones fracture, and he'll be fine as long as he rests it properly in the offseason.

Tremendous amount of stress at that site for any stopping/starting/changing direction.

Just came back too early.

Yep. While they were cleared medically, they probably both returned about a month too soon.
