How much was OBJ worth to the Ginats last season? It’s easy for you to say he’s worth 20 million per but he’s not going to get paid that based on his injury history. The same ankle he injured in preseason this past year he fractured during the season and it required surgery. He’s not going to be cashing in big until he proves he’s fully recovered from that injury and can stay healthy.

OBJ is way better than Dez but I wouldn't want him at 20M per and a big contract with massive guarantees.

OBJ 1-year, 20M vs Dez 1-year, 12.5M is an easy choice in favor of OBJ but I would prefer neither at Zero dollars.

I would see if Allen Robinson would sign a 1-year deal because he missed last season and might maximize his value next year.

Well Dez averaged a cap hit of about $17 million per year if I remember correctly. Maybe $17.5 million?

Dez' contract was signed 3 years ago. So if you figure in the cap increase the contracts are pretty similar in percentage of cap spent if OBJ gets $20 million average per year.

Having said that, I would choose "neither of them". That's stupid money for a wide receiver. It's stupid money too for a QB if we are being honest. No one player unless he can carry the team on his back without help is worth that kind of money.

OBJ is a better receiver by far. Dez is a mental midget, but I would choose Dez over OBJ in the me first category. OBJ takes being an ******* to a whole new level.

The OP asked a reasonable question, would you rather have Dez or OBJ and his asking price of 20M per season? We all know we’re not going to acquire OBJ but the question was would you “rather” have him and his asking price instead of Dez? You said you would take OBJ all day long. Did you not read the question? Did you not consider his injury history?

Not many if any are going to take OBJ all day long over Dez for 20M per season with his injury history, plus he’s a head case. Some of the rants I’ve seen from OBJ on the sidelines are worse than any sideline rants I’ve seen from Dez. OBJ’s on the field frustration can boil over into borderline insanity at times.

Keep in mind that his contract is $20m per year. I think Dez was at $17.5 per year maybe. So it's not that much of a difference if you factor in the escalating cap since Dez' contract.

Silly question. I would never pay a WR 20m per year. I would also never pay a joker like Dez 16 million.

At this point, I fail to see the value in having Dez Bryant at all unless its a 2nd or 3rd receiver at a bargain price. At least with Beckham his is one of the best talents in the game.

Everybody keeps evaluating it on a one season scenario. We have Dez for 16 million or we sign ObJ for twenty million. The OBJ 20 million would be for multiple years and he has already shown to be injury prone. Just eat one more year with Dez and let the Giants decide what to do with OBJ. Why would we take on an even bigger head case is beyond me?
