I don't know about a pay cut but I wouldn't be shocked to see them use a premium (top 3 rounds) pick on a WR.

He'd probably just leave and go to Green Bay and destroy us on a team that actually knows how to use a WR.
This is true. Was there anything as nice as that slant to Dez? He is built perfectly for that type play and they threw it once maybe twice. They need to quit using him as a speed receiver and start using him as a physical receiver.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Cowboys ask Dez to restructure his contract this coming offseason.
He has demonstrated that he is still a very good receiver but his production/abilities aren't at the elite level.
Some of it isn't his fault because the way our offense is structured, the #1 WR isn't the main focus. And there have been many instances where Dez hasn't taken advantage of his opportunities when the ball has been thrown to him.
Knowing Dez, he will not be a happy camper should that happen and cause a big ruckus.
But he won't have much to argue that a restructure isn't justified.
The Cowboys will have some big contracts to deal with; Martin, Irving, Lawrence, etc. so they will be looking for ways to deal with them.

how about just cut?

As opposed to defense? That would be sad if they did. This is a running team first.

Can we create a "Dez Is Underperforming and Makes Too Much Money" Zone?

I have always disliked Dobby's being killed off more than Professor Dumbledore's death.

Isn't any restructure eventually anticipated when dealing with large contracts? It is a salary cap maintenance necessity. How Bryant may or may not deal with the action is not really worth worrying about in my opinion.

Are they really forcing the ball to Dez, Or is it another CZ urban legend whine deal.
Can a film guru look and see what other options were available on each of the plays.
sometimes that is just the play called, maybe someone missed an assignment causing it to seem that way, or didn't clear out a DB to allow Dez to do his job.
At one point he had 21 catches on 48 targets.

That definitely indicates forcing it to him.

They got away from doing it against the Skins and that's why he was having a meltdown.

He couldn't handle it. He would be even more worthless and disruptive.

Just cut him and move on.

You seem to want to make everything personal.

Not at all ........ when someone says something stupid like, "Witten is not starting material", then I will point out how stupid that is.

If I called you stupid then that would be personal ....... but I did not say that ....... and you cannot dictate what I am thinking.

If you can't see why a liability Witten is at this point you aren't really watching the games or being honest with yourself. He is a progress stopper at this point in his career. We will have to agree to disagree.

As of yesterday I think Dez was 41st in the league in terms of yards receiving and that is with us forcing the ball to him a lot of the time. The production from Dez vs the attempts really make throwing the ball to Dez a poor allocation of pass attempts.
