This is true. Was there anything as nice as that slant to Dez? He is built perfectly for that type play and they threw it once maybe twice. They need to quit using him as a speed receiver and start using him as a physical receiver.
They'll sit on the slant if they use it very often.

Yes. I think they quit having Dez run the slant because he failed to run the route properly and it resulted in interceptions. An occasional slant route by Dez is effective now because the DB is so surprised he is running it. He actually gets a little bit of separation because of the surprise element of it.

Run it very often and I predict you will see picks by the defense because of Dez poor route running. They don't run it often for a reason. They tried it with Romo and it went no where.

Dez is a huge reason Romo had so many INTs.

Maybe it is Dez is just not living up to the over inflated extremely high exceptions of fans and many posters....seems everyone needs to do a pile on whining of a player(s).

Dez, Brown, J. Smith, B. Jones, Heath (well I agree there), Taco (standard rookie whining)
Anyone else?
coaching, but deserved
FO, for off season FA handling, deserved also but some from hindsight[/QU

Dez, this week, Taco last week, :banghead::banghead:

He needs to or let him go, not even worth the $$$ he is making.

I would give him a new 6yr/50m new contract and rip up the old 2/25m

Guarantee 25m and give him 15m signing bonus

New cap hit for 2018 would be 12m instead of 16.5m

Focus on a WR early in draft

If they sit on the slant, then you have them where you want them.

If you can call them getting a "pick 6" and celebrating in our end zone right where you want them, yeah, I guess that's right. What were we thinking? I see the light. Lol

Dez could take 5 paycuts and the whining would still continue.

For many, it ain’t really about the money.

If Dez was in a wheel chair some posters would still be saying we need to throw it to him more to "get him going".

I wonder if Bronco fans are saying the same thing about Damaryius Thomas. I have Thomas on my fantasy football team and he hasn't done squat all year. Thomas has 30 catches for 389 yards and 0 TDs so far.

Dallas needs to better address WRs in the draft. Albeit with picks or udfas. The college ranks are chock full of very good wrs that you can draft late or pick up as priority free agents. Just look at the vikings' duo of Diggs and Theilen. Or that little white guy in New England and Chris Hogan.

Although it helps, you don't necessarily need a 60 mil contract receiver to have success on offense.

Ask Dez to take a paycut or try to find a suitor for him in a trade.

And hopefully with our surplus of picks this year, pick up a couple in the draft.

I'd be happy for Dez to go to Green Bay. Having Dez play on the same team as Jordy Nelson will demonstrate graphically just how far he is from being a true elite WR.

If I were Dez...I would never do this. I would WELCOME a paycut...and choose a team that will actually get him the ball and do what he does best. We can go on and on about what he is NOT...but he seemingly NEVER has the ball! Why would he take a paycut..to remain on a team....to NEVER get the ball? Garrett is content for this offense to perform EXACTLY like it is performing. It is the EASIEST way for him to win some games...without having to do a whole lot of "scheming". It will never win 3 games in the postseason against top defenses and the best coaches. But hey...Jerry is comfortable...his family is comfortable...and they keep a whole lot of Cowboys fans HOPEFUL that the 6th Lombardi is on the horizon. Like I always say...understand what game is being played...and then decide how to proceed with your fandom.

NE, GB, SEA, or NO and suddenly we would see a resurgence of Dez and a slew of people on this board saying they knew he never was "slowing down"

I pray he goes NE.

Dude would tear **** up, and it would be fun to see. Him and Brady would win a SB. ( not that they need him to do that)

If we are destined to lose Dez, I hope it's next season and he gets a ring, so this fan base and organization would feel like complete ****
