I don't think that's the issue. I think the fact that Dez has waited until the fans have brought tar, feathers and pitchforks to the the party to START working on his route running is too little too late for many fans. And rightly so.

What part do coaches play in this though? I thought Garrett was a master motivator and not an x and o guy? So that was bs too? 2018 offseason we’ll all be free of the clown coach

Its a nothing story...a ruse. Dez should have been honing his routes from day 1.

He has improved his route running remarkably since coming into the league. Coming in to the league he didn't know how to release off the line and pretty much ran gos and smokes.

Now he runs a full route tree and is explosive out of breaks. He does need to disguise better and polish up but to say he has not worked on his routes just shows me a person that doesn't know what they are looking at.

Biggest takeaway from this is again the incompetence of the coaching staff. The fact that he only runs 3 routes in our offense is inexcusable. We already have enough problems with our offense being predictable. Could you imagine how easy it would be for a CB if they knew the WR they were covering only ran 3 routes!?

You are claiming the coaches are don't know what they're doing.

Even if the coaches were complete Morons, Romo would have forced the issue if thought Dez could run all the routes.

Running the route tree is about study and practice. Dez didn't want to study/practice details in the past.

Maybe Robinson and the criticism along with the fact the Cowboys have considered cutting him might get him to study/practice route running; however, if he does do it now, that means he wasted years just half-arsing it.

And you cant blame just Dez. How can the coaches sit back and watch this guy run routes every day and not demand better? A bunch of bums from top to bottom.

Instead of correcting him, they simply ONLY allow him to run the few routes that he does well. Hence leading more to the predictability of the offense. Just goes to show how absolutely horrid the coaching is here.

My guess is that Jason Garrett and his staff don't value film study. How many times do we have to fall for the okey doke by the Packers catching us with too many players on the field? Why do we proclaim to be a run first team yet we always seem to attempt a pass at crucial times? How many times have we need minimal yardage, we run the ball and fail? With Zeke i n the line up this is rare. Watch some film and figure out what is best for your players. While you are at it, study some film and figure out your opponents tendencies.
