Dez vs top WR's

I dont think Dez is a top 5 receiver, maybe not even top 10. Im going to post the number of 100 yard games some of his peers have had since entering the league compared to Dez.

Since 2010 Dez: 13 100 yard games

Since 2014 Odell Beckham: 15

Since 2010 Antonio Brown: 25

Since 2011 Aj Green: 24

Since 2011 Julio Jones: 28

Make of it what you want, but I dont think Dez is as big a game changer as those guys

He is a top 5 WR with the worst head coach in the NFL.

All those guys get over 100 catches a year. Dez is not one of those type of receivers, he's a possession receiver. Keep in mind none of those receivers are playing along with a Hall of Fame tight end as well

It's so frustrating seeing dez doing the same route in the same spot the whole game. The guy is so dangerous running after the catch and we aren't doing anything to take advantage of that.

Dez is definitely not a top 100 WR.. if he played for any other team the same way he does for us no one would think that way. He's just a brand.

I'm not bashing Dez but I have a question.

How do teams get their wrs the ball more often? Is it because they are good route runners and dez is a bad one?

I'm not referring just today's game, just in general.

It seems to me players like demairus Thomas, Antonio brown, Emmanuel sanders, Fitzgerald beckam Jr., aj green, Julio jones etc always seem to get the ball thrown to them. Antonio brown is a beast, I've seen him have multiple 10+ rec a game

This is the question - and to me it goes back squarely to Garrett. He seemingly needs star players at every position and then a "beat your man" philosophy that Irvin talks about so often. There is minimal creativity to this offense. I can't even imagine how Romo's career along with Dez and who knows who else would have been with someone like Arians, Payton, Kubiak, etc. Let alone freaking Jay Gruden. I already feel like we have the worst head coach in the division from an X and Os standpoint, imho.

Dez does not get separation like other Top WR's but his physicality puts him in the top in my opinion.Thinking about his drops they all seem to come from his ability to out jump everyone and come down with the ball very hard to the turf which jars the ball loose. It happens to him a lot I think. On the separation issue it makes it difficult for the QB to throw to him so he does not get the number of targets that other top guys get but the QB is usually rewarded when they go his way. That is one thing that surprises me with the backshoulder, it is a great play for him,(because the db is usually right with him) pretty safe, effective in preseason, but not used once yesterday, whether called and not thrown or just not called, I don't get it!

He is a HOFer but there is no reason why Witten should be getting double the targets Dez is.

Dez has been reduced to a jump ball WR in this offense, whether that is coaching or his inability to run crossing or any other route for that matter. but thats what i see.....I think all this falls more on Garrett then Dez. jmo
