He's medically cleared, he can't "re-injure" it.

I know it's not a popular opinion, but if he really has been medically cleared (which Jerry and Jason both said he was), I'd be extremely disappointed if he's not active Sunday in at least a decoy role.

This is about as big as a game gets at this point in the season, and let's be honest, with the parity in the NFL, this divisional game could decide our playoff fate.

Unless I misinterpreted what Jason and Jerry said, all he's dealing with is "discomfort" at this point. JJ Wilcox played with a broken nose, Sean Lee went to get stitches and looked like he couldn't count to potato, and both kept playing. Yeah, I know it's his foot, but there are dudes playing all around the NFL with injuries. There's nothing that leads me to think Dez isn't tough, so i'm hopeful this is just a big act by the team to mess with the Giants.

Unless of course this "medical clearance" was just a bunch of smoke. But if he's cleared, you play him. Even if he's just a decoy.

If he is in substantial pain, I can understand sitting him. Playing with pain can often cause you to use other muscles to compensate. When you are using other muscles to help perform tasks they don't normally do, you can risk injury to something else.

People need to come to grips with the fact that Dez will most likely not be in top 3 WR form any time soon....if at all this year. Because of his contract situation....he did not play much football this offseason....and when he finally did....his inactivity led to hamstring issues....which also meant he did very little in training camp. Then the season starts...and he promptly gets hurt...because he did very little football activity in training camp. So we are talking about a player who basically has not "run" like a WR needs to "run" in a long time. I would LOVE to be wrong about this...but I think we should prepare ourselves to see "glimpses" of a top 3 WR this year. Hopefully those "glimpses" will be when we need them the most.

Dude you are so full of hit. Dez did not break his foot due to poor conditioning. Things happen. Now I'll give you the hamstrings.

Rapo-idiot trying to save face... How about not trying to guess what the coach is saying... Special players get special rules... If Dez does light team drills mixed in and he responds well I don't see how he isn't dressed for Sunday.

Yeah, now all he needs is for Garrett to hold Dez out for about 7 more weeks and his 12 week BS will have been correct!

I've seen it more often around here lately. It's like some posters can't enjoy watching football unless they're 90 percent certain the Cowboys are going to win. Newsflash: That kind of certainty is an illusion. We're five games into the season. Who knows what's going to happen?

Fans can be concerned or not concerned, seems like you are just being condescending.

Not being in game shape could put you at risk for any type of injury. Serious.

Bones are bones. It is what it is.

If broken bones were the result of not working out, then 80% of America would be in casts.

Come on man.

So what specific activity do they do in camp to make bones stronger?

Wow, are you being obtuse. There are connective tissues etc, all he had to be was tight unpracticed... and therefore he landed wrong and created a stress fracture on one of the hundred bones in his foot. A jump and a catch that he did in his sleep when in game shape. Or maybe it was a freak occurrence, but you can't rule out the former.
