So what specific activity do they do in camp to make bones stronger?

Bones can be hurt fractured by tight tendons / ligaments especially the 5th metatarsal- look it up. Nobody is saying that Dez's condition (or lack there of / dehydration) was the proximate cause, but it could have been, and to suggest otherwise is just ignorant.

It's not very likely, and suggesting it is absurd.

Dez is a professional athlete. He works out all year.

I undestand that you believe that Dez is a professional athlete and that's about the extent of you knowledge on the subject.

Brother, just stop. You're getting destroyed in this thread. You're wrong and you know it.

Broken bones happen and there isn't really anything you can do to prevent it.

I don't believe Dez is a professional athlete. I know Dez is a professional athlete.

But, hey, if you think he just sits around on his *** all off season eating Doritos, be my guest.

Nobody is getting destroyed or hurt. There are a lot of factors that could have contributed to Dez landing awkwardly / being pulled by Prince. Being dehydrated early and not in 100% game shape could have been an element. Small foot bones like the 5th metatarsal usually break because something else goes wrong, not because somebody took a hammer to it. Maybe Dez just got cleated, but it didn't appear so.

Game conditioning might not have been an issue, but it could have been. Nobody is suggesting that Dez was lazy, but might he have been out of practice shape.

Alright then. We'll just agree to disagree. :)

I'm no medical expert, but I think it is safe to say, hydration didn't have any impact on the broken bone....

I just googled everything I possibly could to find how exercise or proper training can help prevent broken bones. The only thing I could find out of numerous searches only dealt with osteoporosis. And almost all the recommendations for exercise were to help strengthen balance in those with osteoporosis so they don't fall and break a bone.
Those that are claiming Dez's reduced off season activity caused his broken foot. Please provide a link or other scientific or medical evidence that can help prove this opinion. I've looked everywhere I can think. And I can't find anything on it.

Wow, are you being obtuse. There are connective tissues etc, all he had to be was tight unpracticed... and therefore he landed wrong and created a stress fracture on one of the hundred bones in his foot. A jump and a catch that he did in his sleep when in game shape. Or maybe it was a freak occurrence, but you can't rule out the former.

Bro I played football my whole life. Elementary middle school high school college even now on the navy team. No amount of working out affects your bones. Yes not working out can cause muscle pulls and tears but bones are bones, you can't make them stronger or weaker by missing training camp
