Looking like Cowbots will trade Marty B & MB3 on draft day if deals can get done.....2nd for Marty B & 5th for Barber#cowboys
about 1 hour ago via txt
------------------------------

Brady Tinker has never been a guy in the know as far as I have followed DFW Sportsbeat.

So I don't buy this at all.

Will throw up the video later tonight.

What do you really expect for him? Be honest.

If he's healthy, he's worth more to us than simply getting a 5th rd pick. He is a good player.

The problem is he's been hurt the past two seasons and because of that, hasnt produced enough to warrant the contract he has.

Surely more than a 5th. I would think at least a third. The ones that got traded for low picks were ones that had issues like Holmes and Marshall.

i forgot what joker told me Bennett wasn't worth a 2nd...

now this doesn't confirm that he is, but it sure doesn't hurt

yikes, a 2nd and a 5th sounds eerily close to what it would take to move up to 12...i havent checked the unofficial draft chart..but off the top of my head, it seems about right

it is going to take a big time player for me to be happy w trading Bennett away...not that anyone cares, just sayin lol

I wouldn't do those deals. I'm not the biggest MB3 fan -- talent-wise, I mean -- but if we trade him we almost have to draft a bigger, tough-type back to replace him.

Marty B, maybe, but only if he's a bigger idiot on the field than I think he is. But that's something only the coaches would know.

I'd love a 2nd for Bennett. He needs to go. 4th or 5th for barber seems right.

I'd trade Bennett in a second...Barber, I'd want a third, maybe a fourth. He can still be a pro bowl player

Interesting. I'm not sure that I buy this story but I guess there have been stranger things happen in the NFL over the years. I'd be surprised if these two guys are the guys that are moved on draft day, if any players are even moved at all.

i guess maybe i am the only one who will be really pissed if we trade bennett, he is young and will be a force to be reckoned with in this league, i just want it to be on the cowboys. yea i get it, most people think he is a knuckle head.

i would deal barber but not MartyB. He has the talent to be a Pro Bowler for 10 years. You just don't give up on that kind of talent.

Thank goodness. Getting rid of little Marty makes us better no matter who we get in return, at least the way he has been here so far. Phillips looks very promising. Ill take a 5th for Barber, 4th would be better but honestly, we don't really need three backs, and Barber is the low man, unfortunately becuase I really really liked his work ethic and style. We all said several years ago that becuase of his running style he would have a shorter career. Getting a 5th out of him this year will be better than waiting till next year and getting a 6th or nothing.

I don't think it'll ever be realized...at least not here anyways...He'll never have a big role in this offense.

Love MartyB but a 2nd in this draft is worth a ton so I might take it. 5th bor MBIII is a lil low but IMO we need to get Choice out there and use him more so moving MBIII would allow us to do so. You can probably use a 6th to pick up LaGarrette Blount to fill the spot where MBIII was. Younger at RB ain't a bad thing and the 2nd we get for MartyB could go towards a need pick like FS, OT, or OG.

you arent alone on that one man..I really want to hold on to the guy..like I said earlier, it is going to take a big time player for me to be happy about trading him...There might only be 2-3 guys in this draft I would even consider it for

I think if Bennett ended up elsewhere, he'd be a probowler. He can definitely start for alot of teams. If anything happened to Witten, I really think Bennett would put up huge numbers here.

I dont have anyway to prove this, but I think part of his problem last year may have been boredom. He wants to be involved, but there just werent many chances there for him after preseason. If he goes somewhere else and becomes the starter I think its a safe bet he puts up 50-60 catches a yr easily, and he is already one of the better blockers among league TE's.

I personally don't understand the Bennett hype. I've never seen anything that special from him during the season...Yeah, he tore it up in training camp but so did Sam Hurd.

Phillips--you can actually point to the games he played in and say, here's what he did. Bennett? Not so much...

Not at all. This guy has all kinds of talent, and I'd hate to give it away right now when he could start to grow up.

There aren't many of us out here, though.

Now like I was saying, if the coaches are convinced he won't ever grow up and won't ever care enough about football, then I'm fine with getting something for him. But Garrett supposedly really liked him and I doubt he wants to give up on him already.

5th for Barber? Pass...

If we're going to trade Barber, I'd prefer that Dallas use him to trade up in a round if there's a player the Cowboys really want to get.

I wouldn't mind the fifth, though, if we do it on draft day and we see someone we really want, but the value has to be there. I don't see trading him for a fifth just to be trading him as a good idea.
