DHop may drop his asking price for the right, competitive team. ..

I can easily seeing him going to Pats with QB Mac Jones - plus Pats don't have an established lead WR

I'm not hearing the Browns rumor anymore with him re-joining Deshaun Watson

When one was asked how much D-Hop’s got left, he said; “Not much. He can’t run anymore.”

With another AFC exec saying, “Still great hands, he is not going to separate, not much of a deep threat, but very strong, and makes contested catches as well as anyone in the NFL”

Another: “Does not love to practice—I can’t imagine that’ll get any better. And when things don’t go well, you’re always gonna be leery, All right, what kind of drama are we gonna get from this guy? When things are great, he’s great. When things go south, his true colors show a little bit.”
For the $$$ he likely wants I'm not surprised the Cowboys aren't interested. Of course all this doesn't mean those executives are right. But it sure makes you raise questions about him. Where there is smoke.....

Patriots seem like a good fit but they won’t give him the deal he wants. It’ll probably come down to a battle of one year offers and he’ll pick the team/location he likes the best.

Possible reasons for the mild league interest

Interesting. I don’t believe it honestly. I’ve seen this league give Julio two chances and he looked cooked. But I guess the difference is maybe D Hop asking for too much. Interesting they think he can’t run anymore.

Pats? They have no chance in AFC even AFC east. Why wouldn't he go to KC or Bills.

I believe every bit of what the NFL exec’s are saying ab him. Why else would two teams give up on such a talent?

He may have earned some rights of leniency via his accolades.. but he’s also asking for “leadership” type money. Which means he has to practice hard, be first in the film room, and play harder when times get tough. That’s the most important part of being on a team, exp a high priced veteran leader.

The criticism on the field sounds a lot like what folks said ab Dez towards the end.. can’t separate, lost a step, but still has the hands to come down with contested catches. I’m not sure if that’s True, but it’s definitely not as valuable in the NFL as it used to be. Todays WR have to create separation either with speed or precise routes. And if DHop doesn’t have either of those.. I’m a hard pass.. exp at that asking price

Cowboys not interested because we may have to do more than the vet min. per Stephen Cap Jones
