Pats? They have no chance in AFC even AFC east. Why wouldn't he go to KC or Bills.
Could DHop be content with playing 2nd fiddle to Stephen Diggs ?

So long as the Pats have Bill Belly and a capable QB, who has weapons to throw at.. they stand the a big chance of winning.

Problem is they don't have impact WR weapons and they just don't seem to be able to draft WRs well .. and they have to get lucky per trade or find a pleasant surprise
(ala Julian Edelman.)

Hopkins is gonna want atleast 16 mil. Being on contract and traded is a different animal compared to being a fa

I believe every bit of what the NFL exec’s are saying ab him. Why else would two teams give up on such a talent?

He may have earned some rights of leniency via his accolades.. but he’s also asking for “leadership” type money. Which means he has to practice hard, be first in the film room, and play harder when times get tough. That’s the most important part of being on a team, exp a high priced veteran leader.

The criticism on the field sounds a lot like what folks said ab Dez towards the end.. can’t separate, lost a step, but still has the hands to come down with contested catches. I’m not sure if that’s True, but it’s definitely not as valuable in the NFL as it used to be. Todays WR have to create separation either with speed or precise routes. And if DHop doesn’t have either of those.. I’m a hard pass.. exp at that asking price
Dak needs WR that can separate. Also DH gets hurt a lot. Rather see us sign a better RB like Cook.

Hopkins worked out in off season with Dez and Prescott. Yet when asked about top QBs he would like to catch passes from Dak is suggested to him and he shakes his head no and mentions Herbert as his 5th choice. A great NFL WR knows exactly what some of us already knew about Prescott.

I don’t think that was ever a question. D Hop would sign I would think a 2 or 3 year deal. Not long term.
Parsons and Diggs would have to be signed in the next 2 - 3 years. Paying DHop significant money would prevent extensions of both, during the 2 year time frame.

And Hopkins might not be very good.

Patriots seem like a good fit but they won’t give him the deal he wants. It’ll probably come down to a battle of one year offers and he’ll pick the team/location he likes the best.
Yes, and coincidently they'll be the team paying the most.

Funny how no team is eager to sign him.
There's one thing that would concern me. He was suspended for PEDs awhile back, right? You don't need them when you're 22. But you would need them to keep playing like a 22 year old. Now he probably won't use them again, and it's a few years later.

The Cowboys decided Cooks was the better fit for their roster. They are still hoping that Gallup rebounds and Tolbert emerges which makes signing another big receiver highly unlikely. If they are going to sign any fa now, it will be at a discount price like we saw with Barr last season. Still wouldn't rule out a similar signing prior to camp again.

Gallup doesn't need to rebound he just needed to get healthy. He is now.

Tolbert and Fehoko both have made enough progress (and we have all read how they want to get Turpin more involved) so there is 0% chance the Cowboys sign a vet WR prior to camp.

The Cowboys are already 6 deep at WR not counting the UDFA's they love.

Hopkins isn't worth the risk for Dallas. Cooks is a good fit for them. If Cooks has a decent season. They will be in good shape.

If signing DHop means that Dallas can't sign Parsons and Diggs, then why is this an interesting discussion?
Signing our 6th rd pick next year would likely mean we cant keep Diggs or Parsons after this year...............................................................smh

Tolbert....... bahahahhahahahahahahahaha. I know, I know.... the coaching will be great this year and Tolbert will explode onto the scene. He may even become the number 1 WR this year.
