Did any other team try to interview Schottenheimer for a job?

At this point, you know what you get with him. If he is in serious consideration, this is all about comfortability for Dak.

He can’t learn a new offense. They already know what Dak “does well”.
Minor point...... Dak sucked this year even when he was healthy. Dak's problem is between his ears. He needs to be challenged. Comfort has done him no good. What the team should be doing is finding someone who can get Dak out of his comfort zone so he can take a step forward a QB.

Dak has peaked. At this point, he’s a sunk cost. With his injuries, it’s going to get worse. This isn’t a guy that could never read and dissect a defense.

I agree but as you said, we are stuck with him. I've been saying we need to build a dominant defense for years......

He's already been fired by almost half the teams in the NFL.

He don't have options left besides being the HC of the most profitable sports franchise in the world.
Money doesn’t make you smart, this is the worst organization in sports.

Seems pretty silly when your the most prestigious organization in sports and your searching for a head coach and the guy they zero in on was ignored by all 31 other teams…

Reminds me of the Texans with Josh McCown it was embarrassing for them and luckily they avoided that mistake and got the right guy,

But are we really about to make our head coach a guy no other team even interviewed for a coordinator positions?
You WERE..they are losers and embarrassment now

The Jones boys are just smarter than every other team. They hired a coach no other team wanted and gave a broken down QB who cant run and average arm the largest contract in NFL history.
They just keep making great decisions. The clown show continues.

Nobody else interviewed Nick Siriani from the Mighty Eagles either, and he didn't call the plays for Indy, Frank Reich did.
Yet Siriani's hire was widely accepted and glamorized.

When the fake news talks Cowboys, it's the end of an American institution
Disagree a bit. Siriani is an idiot. What the Eagles have in Spades is a great owner who hired an even better GM. The Eagles have great talent across the board on both offense and defense. He'll, Shotty could win with this team. They are that loaded.

Swap their GM and owner with the folks who built and are driving the clown car in Dallas and that clown car would morph into a Ford Raptor 150. The problem is within the Star. Has been for almost 30 years.

I read somewhere that Dak didn't want to learn a new system. Well that and the fact Shotty is dirt cheap.

Remember folks, this is the fellow who ran that great offense in Jacksonville and turned around the career of Dexter Lawrence. He was also hired by that all world coach Urban Myers in Jacksonville. Yea, that Urban Myers.

This might be the most underwhelming hire you can think of. Shotty is nothing like his father. He is not a leader of men.

The fans should go to the Star in mass and wave the white flag. Pathetic hire.
Didn’t want to or isn’t capable of learning a new system.
What a joke this is. HC who no one else even considered and a DC whose team this year had 2 of the worse losses in the league due to coaching incompetence. Damn it is getting hard to stay invested in this organization.

Would have been better to keep Mike McCarthy. At least he got interviewed by 2 teams so far.

My understanding is his options were down to greeter at Wal Mart or head coach of the Cowboys. After mulling it over for a few days he decided to go with the job that has less stress.

Why would any other team interview him? Twenty seven years in the NFL and pretty much been invisible. Perfect for Jerral to try and find lightning in a bottle so he can take all the credit.

Jerry has lost his mind. Let’s take an OC who didn’t call his plays and came from the last dysfunctional staff and promote him to head coach. And by the way, let’s let a QB who hasn’t won anything and has no skins on the wall dictate who I pick for HC. Let’s get this straight Dak. If you’re last name isn’t Stafford, Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Hurts, soon to be Daniels, you have no leverage as a QB. You take what’s given for the best of the TEAM.

What a total **** show.

With all due respect, we don’t remotely have the same front office that hired Siriani. Howie Roseman has been knocking it out of the park in the Eagles organization GM since Andy Reid was there. Between Roseman, Andy Reid, and Tom Heckert Philly’s GM‘s have a .650 record, 18 playoff wins, and one superbowl win since 2018, Lurie is not meddlesome. I bet they saw something in Siriani that made them realize he would be a winner. Do you really trust Jerry’s poor HC track record that he saw what the Eagles staff did? I don’t think so.

Philadelphia has (1) SB win in 60 years, we have (5) and Dak Prescott has owned the Eagles in the last ten years.

If you're that impressed with them, I suggest going to Philly bar and singing Fly Eagles Fly, it's a free country

i felt like the team needed another OC/HC.

KMoore and BenJ were the 2 top candidates.

if KMoore has another gig lined up, and BenJ was out, Jerry may have felt he had no choice but to hire our current OC.

Big Mike totally jacked our scheme.

Dak is older and Lance isn’t ready yet.
