Did anyone else see this dirty move by Pickens after the game?

Lewis got in his face and got what he asked for. Flaunting the rules and then hiding behind the rules is a punk move.

Don't want no crap, don't start no crap.
So Lewis trash talks him like they been doing all game and he gets physical because his feelings got hurt because they lost and he’s the punk lol? If he wanted to fight he should’ve done that….

He grabbed and tugged at Lewis’ helmet. It caught Lewis off-guard, made him lose his balance and he fell down.

There are rougher examples of the same grabbing happening during games that do not garner much more than a flag. It is not like Pickens tried ripping his helmet off along with Lewis’ head. It was simply a reaction to Lewis’ taunting. It was not ‘vicious retaliation’.

A suspension is an overreaction. There may be a fine but that might be considered an overreaction by the league.

It is nice seeing though. Real animosity between a Cowboys and Steelers player. Cutesy huggy feelings can be shared on the golf course during the offseason. This is football. Guys are not supposed to be signing each others’ jerseys and trying to kiss each other after a FOOTBALL game.

Trash-talking happens all the time but NO player has the right to physically touch another player. Some of the responses here surprise me a bit. The way I see it ......Lewis did not touch him. There was zero reason to grab Lewis's helmet.

Edit: I admit suspension would be a bit over the top but def think he should be fine.

No wonder so many of our fans have made their bed in Loserdom and got comfortable with losing.

1. Lewis was not “taunting” because we don’t know what he said. But we do know that Pickens is a CERTIFIED JERK. Anyone who doesn’t know this bit of context should not be commenting on this incident. The past matters.
2. Pickens took action…and dangerous actions. Anything involving the heck and head is protected…thus the 15 yard “unspportsmanlike conduct” for such infractions.
3. The game was over…and at that point you gotta eat it.

Basically, this was A SORE LOSER. Bottom line…and some people can only handle winning. I get that Lewis wasn’t completely without fault…but…the person who took it “there” was Pickens. What Lewis did is a weekly occurrence in the NFL>..heck your own teammates might do the same in a practice. THIS WAS COWARDLY NONSENSE BY A 10 CENT HEAD WR.

Lewis reputation is just as bad as Pickens lol. I’m for it I have no issue with Lewis mouthing off especially if he’s backing it up. But let’s not act like Lewis is some saint.

Wrong.

An equal return reaction would have been to get in Lewis' face and yell back at him. Grabbing him by the face mask and yanking him around was excessive. There needs to be some punishment and a hefty fine.
Excessive yes. But after an emotional game like that, the LAST thing a losing player wants is to be taunted by the opponent. All bets are off at that point.

The Steelers wideouts had been trying to punk Lewis all game and he responded by owning them on the field.

Pickens is a dirty player, but this was relatively minor.

I'm glad he's no saint. We have a few of those. JLew will tackle a guy. Even if he misses, he's not afraid to get down and dirty. I won't name names, but some people don't like contact. So talk your smack, JLew, as long as you back it up. Maybe it motivates him. If so, I'm here for it.

Let me grab someone by the face mask and yank them around. Let's see if the "all bets are off" point is valid.

There was no excuse for that. Could have injured Lewis' neck. Deserves a hefty fine and a game suspension.

:huh:Are you saying it's OK to get physical if your opponent taunts you after whipping your a______?

I get the sportsmanship card but competition sometimes brings together two opponents/challengers who truly don't like each other. One win and one lose and if you lose and I trash you after, take it like a man. You don't get violent .......

I agree I’m for it. Have no issue at all with him doing it.
