Well then you really wouldnt have liked his bit on last years Heisman ceremony with the whole Billy Simms debacle. He went on for an hour how the introducer began "and the Nineteen Ninety..errr 2008 Heisman Trophy winner.." Its not 2000 anymore when we all did that for a while, its 2008!! Good stuff. ha

Good times.

ok, did anyone see jim rhome is burning yesterday, supposedly was about wade phillips, how tougher wade is/

I dont know thats why im askingk, maybe DC or theebs can find the podcast and post it.

This is what someone told me was on the show yesterday or so.
Wade was told how he might be a puppet of jerry jones and how players wouldnt respect him once the season starts etc. Wade replied back like well, one player didnt do something, so i made him take a lap. Another time, Wade hollered at Jason Garrett in front of the team, Jason didnt like it, so wade went to jerry jones about it.

So, Im asking if anyone saw it and know what actually went down? Sometimes a friend of mine that told me this, gets things mixed up, so im asking what if anyone saw this.

I for one think its great that Wade is getting tougher and demanding more on Jason Garrett etc.

what do you zoners think if you saw or or your opinion?

Once a jellyfish always a jellyfish...

I saw one show last week where he wasnt necessarily ripping Wade but wasnt buying the change in attitude in how handles players.

I sort of agree. Accountability is one thing but barking, if he is doing it, I dont know if it will work.

I am starving. I will take any approach from just about any coach at this point.

Jim Rome likes to push buttons...And if it really bothered someone that much He should of stoped and been more profesional about the whole situation. He's a egomaniac with little to no class.

And if it really bothered him so much then he didn't even have to go on the show in the first place. Jim knew Rome was going to do that, he had to have expected it otherwise he's a complete idiot, and if it bothered him so much he could have just declined the show invitation.

*Shrugs* I just find it funny that being called Chris pissed him off so much and I found it funny that he dumped Rome on his head for it. The whole situation cracked me up.

And yet he's still more well known than average Jim Everett. That's about the highlight of what Jim Everett ever did was knock Rome to the floor.

I just think it's hilarious because Jim didn't think Rome would say it to his face, and would only do it on the radio behind his back, and then got all pissy about it when Rome did it to his face.

Yet, Rome just talked and was able to back it up like a man. I dont respect someone who talks tough about someone and then is manhandled.

Weakness and tough talk isnt admirable.

He didn't have anything to prove beyond that he would do it to his face. He never said he would, or could, whip Jim Everett's butt and therefor he didn't have to prove anything there. Jim challenged that he wouldnt do it again, Rome did it again, and it resulted in super pissed Chris Everrett throwing Rome's chair back.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH! SCARY! JIMMY EVERETT KNOCKED OVER A CHAIR! EVERYONE RUN FROM HIS AWESOMENESS!!!

Please.

It was a joke, it was funny, and Jimmy being so mad that he dumped him over in his chair is also funny.

Again if the guy had to take any real crap for his career he probably would have killed himself, or someone, because he was so sensitive.

I enjoyed listening to The Jungle back in the late 90's. I thought Rome did a pretty good job as a prototype of the sports "shock-jock" that so many others (JT the Brick anyone) have tried to copy.

Somewhere though, he started taking himself very seriously and he seemed to buy into his own hype. That's when he lost me and I haven't listened to him too much since then.

 Wasnt that interview like 15 years ago or something?

I still think 'the fight' was staged. Toward the end when Everett pushes him, it looks like he kind of holds on to his arm so doesnt fall hard.

I listen to him for about 80% entertainment rather than sports. He cracks me up, his takes on Softball guy, golf guy, etc are hilarious. But, he does rag on just about anyone he knows will never come on his show. T.O for instance

Everyone has their own taste and Rome is not for me, I would rather watch paint dry and the listen to that idiot.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, at all.
