They are misusing Cooks. I see Gallup and Tolbert running comeback routes, and I just shake my head because they are usually blanketed and have to make a tough catch.

Why not use Cooks on those routes, at least he has the speed to threaten corners deep.

He either isn't getting open or Dak has ZERO faith in him....whatever the reason is, the situation has run its course. Something needs to change with the WR corp to make EVERYONE a likely target.

Yea, cooks needs to be more involved. However, it happens it just needs to. Offense has looked better last few weeks but he’s just not being utilized often enough and maybe even correctly

Elephant in the room.. cooks is a 'blow the top' route runner. Dak has a noodle arm. Daks longest throws are all the result of long YAC..

Hence why I wasn't excited to get Cooks.. he is the wrong type of receiver for both MMs offence and Daks throws.

We need another contested receiver..

Seriously....I said 3-4 weeks ago that Lamb, Tolbert/Turpin, and Brooks should be the starters....how could Brooks be ANY more insignificant than Cooks is???
Did you see him standing wide open in the end zone twice today? Dak can't see the field. We have WR's open. Cooks had 2 targets today. That's not on him. Dak had 44 attempts.

Dak has a noodle arm? Do you know what that term is lol? Chad Pennington had a noodle arm. That ain't Dak.

and I disagree on Cooks....Cooks can run any route.

I tend to believe it's two things going on with WR Cooks as why he is continues to be as a non-impact factor:

1) Coach scheme
2) Dak non-faith/ non rapport with Cooks

- Cooks has long been one of the more reputed speed WRs in the NFL, and It's not like Cooks is a poor route guy:
he's actually underrated in that area.

- But I really get the vibe that Dak is not even bothered to look his way. He's looking him off
and not having the rapport
This is a vet guy that had rapport with HOF QBs like Brady and Brees, .. and has had 1,000 yrd seasons with
backup and scrub QBs .... but not with Dak ?

We never seem to take deep shots downfield with Cooks - but notice how Philly does with Brown/Devontae
And in past Dak was reputed as one of the better deep shot passers in the NFL ... but not this year.
And definitely not with Brandin Cooks

Stay Tuned. !!

Dak has a bad arm. He continually underthrows our receivers. He struggles with long passes. I literally don't think he could hit the endzone on that last play hence why they went short.

Dak can't hit a pass more than 35-40 yards through the air. Never has been able to.

I'm starting to believe that too...
It seems to be too many " wide open WRs waving down the QB in several games. He's missing them.

Cooks is a slot receiver. Unfortunately for him, Ceedee is a slot receiver too and he got the #88.

This team needs guys who can play on the outside and get some targets. You can almost predict where the ball is going based on who is in the slot.

I created a thread asking why don't we see if T.Y. Hilton is still interesting in coming back, because this receiving crew (besides CeeDee) are seriously lacking and not helping at all. Our Offense needs help.

I mean from TV it’s easy to read a field. It’s s little different when you’re flushed out of your pocket after 2 seconds

and yet we don't see TY Hilton on any NFL team - not even SB contenders that are picking up the likes of Julio Jones.
